Dear Reader I had a horrible(!!) experience with Topline movers. Although they packed well, once they had possession of our belongings they made it clear that we were at their mercy. I moved to Chicago from MD on a business move and not only did they arrive late, but they were extremely rude and nasty. As I waited for days for my belongings to arrive they took their time driving out. The driver of the truck refused to drop my belongings at my apartment claiming there was not enough room(although other trucks that size often drive in the same alley all the time). IN CHicago, the driver had my stuff 35 min away and demanded that either I pay him $400 cash or pick my stuff on my own. I chose to get control at that point and got a U-haul on my own. But they didn't have any movers on hand to help. They paid two guys off the street(one had substance abuse issues) to place the stuff in my rented truck and did not offer any help. I ended up finishing the job I paid them to do!!! The driver then told me that I should've gone with a bigger moving company that was more trustworthy!
It made me sick to my stomach. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contracted agreement. I've thought about suing but I really don't have time or energy. But I wanted to take a minute to warn anyone thinking of using these guys...GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!
