I joined this Gym about 3 months ago with the promise that this gym would be less crowded and a better experience than the Club I was leaving. Instead I found the gym to be much more crowded and membership offers keep increasing. Waits on machines are fairly regular and the locker rooms are crowded. Nothing is included with the membership. When I decided to leave, I was told I would have to fill out a form and mail it in to release myself from the monthly contract. Anyone can tell this is just a way to extend the membership out more time while a person has to physically mail the form on his or her dime. On the contract it clearly states there is a $50 cancelation fee that was never mentioned in any sales negociation before I signed up. I don't care if the new form says it is now $10 fee because no fee was ever mentioned in our conversation with the sales person. In fact, when I called the gym to cancel, the lady answering the phone was hostile and claimed I was told about this fee when I signed up. I have paid a month in advance already and I have never heard of a fee charged to quit a membership of any quality. To me this is a preditorial practice used to get every last dollar out of a member as they leave so since they will probably never come back. Everything I have read about this company seem to be true. I would never have left Club One if I had known what kind of company I would now be dealing with.
