The VP EAS Accessories scam
Doesn't accept PayPal or Google Checkout because he wants your CC info!
13th of Nov, 2011 by mrhook
VP EAS Accessories (aka [email protected]), does not accept PayPal or Google Checkout (most likely because he has been banned from using them) because he is known to be stealing credit card and personal information from his customers.

Potential victims must ask themselves the question: if VP Eas accessories (http://vpeasaccessories.myshopify.com) was legit, why doesn't he simply accept PayPal or Google Checkout? They are trusted and well known companies, so what's the problem then?

The problem is, this guy is operating a known fraudulent scam, and openly responds to scam reports with retorts claiming his legitimacy. He invites you to contact him directly, rather than contact authorities. The following is a list of techniques this guy has been using:

1. Writes hundreds of fake testimonials on his website from made-up screen names that cannot possibly be verified, and then invites you to contact them for authenticity!

2. Operates dozens (if not hundreds) of youtube accounts, posting hundreds of more testimonials, and comments from 'happy customers'.

3. Is known to be posting several fake scam reports of other legitimate (competing) websites in an attempt to shift focus away from his own dirty operation, and confuse customers.

4. Posts various prices of his products, but then charges a different (higher) price after a sucker makes a purchase.

5. Months after purchase has been made from [email protected], strange and unauthorized transactions beging appearing on their credit card (he sells CC info on zoklet.net where he also advertises).

It's true that scam informer and scamchasers offers no way to verify reports, so users should make informed decisions for themselves, based on the merchant. This leads back to the question, if VP EAS accessories is legit, why not accept PayPal or Google Checkout?

I ordered off him once before and didn't have any issues. I just ordered off him a second time and we will see how it goes. He did state that he will match anyones price, I found them for $10 on another site and he offered me a refund and told me he can't match that good of a price. But already ordering, I told him to just send it because the other site only accepted paypal. I was once a paypal user and they froze my account for no reason at all, and made me wait 6 months for my $3, 600 I had in my business account. I've been running the family business for 30 years and my father before me for 52. So I do understand why he does not like paypal, and I agree with vpeasaccessories, also vinipooh... I will cross my fingers and see if my second order comes and if it does I will post and let everyone know it was successful like my first order! But my only issue at this time is the claim to match anyones price. But the hooks are good quality that he sells and worked in my sensormatic machine with no problem.

PayPal and Google Checkout do not just shut down accounts for the fun of it. Most likely, he can't use PayPal because he has been banned, and FOR GOOD REASON. It's not like he has a choice, and it doesn't matter what he thinnks of PayPal. Everyone knows you lose a lot of business by not accepting them (or Google Checkout)... He is simply banned from using them. Period. If I were you, I would cancel the credit card you used to make that purchase.

Just because they APPEAR to be sealing legit EAS equipment doesn't mean that this person isn't supporting retail fraud. Go to the youtube page and the evidence is there ."Profit Prevention Officer and Stock Liberator "

VP EAS ACCESSORIES here, we dont accept PP or GOOGLE because they dont allow some of the items to be processed through them. You can contact them and verify this yourself. We do have a paypal account but do not use it because of that reason, If you want to break their current terms and conditions you are welcome to do so - but we do not want our paypal account limited. Anyone who sells these items with paypal is taking a risk - sooner or later their account WILL get limited and buyers' account may as well.

All transactions go through our bank, direcly - we never see your credit card info. its the same as using paypal. If anyone knows anything about merchants and payment processors - you know that all credit information is safe and sellers never sees the information. Its the same thing as using your card at the gas station or any store.

Please dont be fooled by this fake comment, this is just dirty competition. We have no reason not to complete the transaction, all the products are in stock, we ship within 48 hours and provide proof and a tracking number. If we really did do anything some of these dirty comments claim we would have been shut down a long long time ago. We were the FIRST ones to sell these and are still around for a reason.

We have the best customer service, best products, and we are located inside the USA.

feel free to contact us.

and dont believe these complaint boards: anyone can post anything without any proof.

I bought two hooks from vinipohh123 in 2009 and 2010, and both arrived no problem. At that time he accepted PayPal. I paid, and the hooks arrived very quickly both times and he emailed me a tracking number too.

I am considering buying more hooks because I lost the ones before, and also a couple of other detachers. His prices seem okay but I don't understand why he lists the range of, say $98. - $200. for an item. Why would the price range be so large? Is it $98. or $200., for example, for his Superloc X1.

I have seen some reviews online that he is a scammer. All I know is that he did send me what I paid for before with PayPal.

He doesn't accept PayPal any longer which doesn't concern me really. He accepts credit cards.

Now, some posts I saw on the internet say he is a scammer and will ship nothing and will sell your credit card info. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If I order with my credit card and he ships nothing, I can just dispute the transaction and that's it, he won't get paid (and, if he does this enough times, his card processing account will shut him down).

Then if he is just stealing credit card info, well, that would mean that the URL we are sent to when we order is completely fake and just used to troll our card info. I don't see how he could get away with doing that for too long. And anyway, even if he did do that, I could just shut the card down and although I might lose some TIME I still wouldn't lose any money.

I think the scammer websites are more like the ones where they ask you to send the money with Western Union. This is the way they do it on the fake ID websites - no credit cards accepted - naturally, because if you paid with credit card and they shipped nothing you could dispute the charge.

Anyway, I am not 100% decided yet if I will order, but if I do, I will post a follow up here.
