Aurora Loan Services Violating the lending practice...faking the modification intent,...scamming money from homeowner and refused to modify the loan |

My home loan was sold to Aurora Loan Sercies about 4 years ago. And I've been making payments on time and never late until Sepember 2008 due to my layoff and divorce. Since then, I have been trying to catch up and finally I hire a lawyer to do the negotiation for me. At first, Aurora seem to be willing to work with us and set up a forbearance plan for 4 months. And every time we called Aurora loan services, they told us our loan will be modified after we made our payments. But after we finished the forbearance plan payments, we were denied our applications. And foreclosure proceed. Aurora then suggest my lawyer that we can re-apply the home modification to avoid foreclosure and we did. After submitting documents, Aurora raised our payment from $2600 to $3763 which equals to current market rate about 4%. This time was for 6 months. And Aurora told us that after our payments our loan WILL be modified. With good faith, we made every payments on time and we finished all payments. And two months later, we were denied with some bogus excuse. Remember this $3763 payment equals to the current market rate with our balance. With my frustrations, I started to go online do research on Aurora scam. And I found out there have been so many complains regarding the same issue over the years. Aurora is obviously doing some illegal practice in scamming unfortunate home owners' money with fake modification intention. How many more victim do we need for this to go on. Where is our government and where is the justice. I'm in the process of contacting senators and congressman discussing the issue. And I'm also contacting Media to investigate this issue. And I really hope any victim out there doing the same. SPEAK UP. If we all do, the voice will be loud enough for our government to hear. |
