The Car Place Dave Sarno, Brian (salesman) The Car Place Sold Me a 2003 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor With Many Issues Somers, Connecticut |

Dear Dave (Owner of The Car Place) and Brian (The Salesman), Remember me? I bought a 2003 Crown Vic from you guys a few weeks ago. Not even 5 days and under a 1,000 miles and I had to drop over $900.00 into the car (Rear Axle, All the Brakes, Serpentine Belt, Oil, Rear Differential, No Rear Seat Belts, Smells like antifreeze, Rotors, the Tires were not new as claimed by any means) When I called Brian I didn't even get the courtesy of a return call and when I called the office first I get told that Brian sold me my car and that he has his own little deal going on there, yet all of my paperwork says The Car Place on it and when I call back and push the issue, I get told too bad go pound sand. Now I am approaching you in front of everybody for all to see. Are you going to make good or no? From the tone of the phone calls I had with the shop, I think probably not. Which is why unfortunately I had/have no choice but to go the official route and I think that sucks. Especially reading what happened to all these other people. While I think it's wrong to bring personal stuff into this forum, I have to say all I see are excuses for not making good. While some people posting here are pretty rude, I can understand why people are posting what they are. Brian told me to my face that the only thing wrong with my car was the coil pack and that it was fixed. He told me my car was gone over before I got it. Then I get it back home and the brakes are shot as well as the rear axle. I call you guys to no avail. I don't want to push the issue here, but you guys left me with no choice as I'm out over 900 bucks, couldn't drive the car 5 days after I bought it and it's not even like I could have driven back to Somers to have you guys fix it because the axle was totally shot and the car had no brakes. Like I said given what's going on with me, I can understand where everyone else is coming from, but what am I supposed to do. Do you think I like having to fight about this crap? Then I go online to look and see if anyone else has issues and I see all this crap. People claiming to have bought junk cars, people claiming to have bought unsafe cars. People saying to call the news and everybody else. What the hell. And even some of your replies. "You bought a junk car", "you bought your car as is" Calling people "little man or whatever" is just dodging and avoiding the issues, In my case 5 days and the brakes and the axle goes then I'm out? That's obsurd. I'm sure there has to be minimal standards in order to sell a vehicle to someone? I was told by the mechanic who repaired my car that the brakes had to be at least 50% my brakes had almost nothing to them and he didn't just tell me that, he saved and gave me all of the parts he replaced. The axle seal was shot, the axle bearing was shot and the axle itself ad a groove almost 1/2 an inch wide by a 1/4 of an inch into the axle itself. The mechanic has already said that if need be and a complaint has to be filed, he will talk to as well as provide written documentation to whoever he has to. Like I said, I don't want to have to push my issue, but if I have to I will. So right here in front of the whole world, Since I can't get you guys via telephone I'm asking you what can we do to resolve my issue. Your problems with everyone else here are simply that, Problems with everybody else. I'm interested in what is going to be done with my issue. I will be awaiting your reply. BTW, I am attaching the ad I replied to. The car is billed as a "Rare" find. I think the "rare" find is the dealer, as I've been chasing him for weeks. I actually have DMV involved to try and get at least some of my money that I lost on this "DEAL" returned to me. http://hartford.craigslist.org/ctd/2617628825.html Joe |
