A few months ago I called on an ad in the newpaper about a man selling his coffee distribution route. It sounded promising, and I wanted the owner to finance the sale himself to me. I called and the owner would not do that. I spoke with a man name Bobby Pace, and he told me how instead of buying an established route for 80,000$, I could start my own for $10,000!!! It sounded to good to be true. So, I did my due diligence. These people are sneaky. I was promised 8 retail accounts that sold four coffee bags a day and 5 or more commercial accounts that earned me 100$ or more a week! It sounded great. So I asked Bobby if I could speak with other distributors who are making good solid money in this business. He gave me the phone numbers to two individuals. They were located in Washington DC and Newburg, New York. I called them. I spoke with them and they seemed like they were genuine. The guy in New York even spoke like he was from New York. I'm from Philly, so I know New Yorkers. Well, let's fast forward 2 months after spending $10,000 for this business, and lo' and behold, their phones are disconnected. Lo' and behold, I don't have any commercial accounts. Lo' and behold, I CAN'T GET A HOLD OF THIS COMPANY!!! Not to mention, the distributors I called in DC and New York, aren't reachable whatsoever!!! I have been officially scammed and conned out of over $10,000, and I'm not a happy camper. These people are smart and you need to be aware. They will change the names of their company, the name of their website, and their own names, so that they can attack many more victims like myself. Don't let them do this. I am an idiot for buying into this and I wish that I could take it back. Don't fall for something that is too good to be true. IT NEVER IS. To make good money in business it takes WORK. A LOT OF WORK. For everyone else effected by these A##holes, I'm so incredibly sorry that this happened to you as well. Better luck next time, |

Don't feel too bad. I was taken too. Worst part for me was that I had gotten suspicious about things when they gave me the number for a Placement Locator named Stan Lewis. I did my due diligence on that guy and it was easy to find dirt on him. I was then concerned that I might be in trouble because "Bobby Pace" spoke so highly of him and he was clearly a scumbag. However, at this point it was too late and my money was gone. I had many sleepless nights and worried alot, but to my surprise, the inventory came. I had 1, 280 bags of 12 oz.in 5 different flavors. So I thought everything was fine. Next I found another placement locator online, and paid him 1000 dollars to place 8 of the sixteen displays i had. Then I was taken again, he went to the worst covenient stores in the worst areas of town, and i havent sold a bag in 2 months. A middle school kid could've done the same thing he did. It's all a mess. I paid an attorney 2000 dollars to sort this out and he said he cant help because I signed the distributor agreement before consulting him. Im more embarassed than anything. I investigated and found an A rating by the BBB. thought I did my due diligence. I even laughed at a friend for losing 16000 dollars on a lease to own houses scam. I guess thats what I get. My advice: If you never meet the person you give your money to. DO NOT DO IT!!! |
