Example: one of the questions concerns the 940 report, and one of the options says that the bookkeeper can enter the annual wages on the first line of the 940. Anybody who has filled one of those out recently knows that the first line on a 940 is for the "State paid to" abbreviation. So naturally, you would pick that as the "false" answer. Ooops, wrong answer. There is more than one question like that, actually about 6 of them. So you probably aren't going topass the exam. I disputed the "wrong answer" designation, but was told that the test was based on the "exam materials" they want you to purchase, for several hundred dollars, so...tough luck.

Also they say in their online ads that they are on the Utah Post Secondary Proprietory School List. And they are, sort of, under the name Smith Young Certified Public Bookkeepers, LLC. Trouble is, that and $1.99 will get you a cup of coffee. The list plainly says it does not implyaccreditation, it's just a registry. Their certificate is not accepted by any Board of Accountancy I could find. Too bad I checked after the fact. Stay clear of this one.
