SLR Records David Lasalle Gabriel fraud, music, professional con artist, manipulative Minneapolis, Minnesota |
25th of Dec, 2011 by User986482 |
If David Lasalle Gabriel has contacted you regarding his compilation cd, beware! This guy has frauded hundreds of independent artists. He claims that he will broker deals to get your music in movies, television, commercials, ect. If you notice, all of the artists "signed" to SLR have photos with no names. He doesn't want to disclose the names of artists so that they cannot be contacted nor contact each other. Do not send him money! You will not get what he promises you nor will he return your money. There are hundreds...maybe thousands of starving artists who are being frauded everyday to support his lavish lifestyle...Beware! |

My name is Jon Blumenthal, I worked as the Head of Business Affairs for SLR Records
from the time it was founded in 2002 until June of 2012. It was my job to consult and review
all contracts and agreements before they were signed by the principals of SLR including but
not limited to: SLR's 7 million dollar strategic partnership with IBM, their distribution deal signed
with WEA in 2005 and their 7 million dollar stock purchase of Flyte Tyme Studios from Jimmy
Jam & Terry Lewis.
Re: "Allison from Kansas" (supposed author of the complaint)
After a careful and thorough review of all files, hard drives, CD-Roms, and postal logs, I can
attest that no one at SLR nor any of its principals, managers, or executives ever worked with
anyone by the name of Allison at any time, whatsoever.
Nor were there ever any songwriters, producers, musicians, vocalists, consultants, recording
artists, or promoters that worked for SLR by the name of 'Allison' during the company's entire
history.
Further, SLR has never done business of any type with the State of Kansas nor anyone residing
in the State of Kansas, period.
Therefore this individual ("allison") is a fake, and the complaint is also fake!
As to the preposterous claim regarding "hundreds of starving artists" SLR Records has issued
fewer than 20 recording contracts over the course of the company's entire history. This is simply
ridiculous!
The origin of this bogus complaint points to a stalker currently being investigated by SLR who may
be part of a smear campaign currently in play by competitive enemies of SLR hoping to derail the
ongoing negotiations of SLR's new strategic partnership.
However, please be advised that SLR prosecuted a stalker from the east coast in 2010 for similar
behavior, and that individual was later arrested and served time in jail.
Thank you,
Jon Blumenthal |
