Sherold Salmon Auto Super Store Fraudulent Powertrain Warranty, Typical Hard Sell, Double talk Rome, Georgia |

Jeff and Bill are masters of the hard sell, stonewalling and overselling. If you want the "real" used car experience this is your dealer. They offered an overpriced Chevy Colorado complete with check engine light and a slew of other problems with a thousand mile or one month warranty. My "we owe" list was never completed. A check engine light came on after the first week and it's still on. Autozone ran a diagnostic that said it was a bad thermostat, fluid level or sensor. Sherold Salmon claimed to fix it three times before saying they didn't think the coolant system was included in the warranty for an internal combustion engine. Really? No coolant, no engine. I asked about a hub on the front wheel because when I crawled under it, it looked different. Last week I changed that hub because someone put a 4x4 hub on rather than a 2wd hub on.the two are far from comparable and as a matter ir fact had I driven it much longer, the front wheel would've fallen off. More than likely, one of their shoddy mechanics tried broke the ABS sensor when they did the brakes and didn't know or didn't care the difference. Of course Jeff said it was a universal hub, but he isn't a mechanic as he told me more than once. And when I asked about the check engine light both Bill and Jeff said, it's probably a loose gas cap--but they aren't mechanics. The check engine light is still on. I changed the temp sensor and checked the coolant. They said they changed the thermostat, even found a therm gun under the hood, but when I crawled under it, it hadn't been touched. Basically they unplugged the battery to get the light to reset because my radio presets were deleted. Moral of the story, there are better deals out there. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear. When a salesman starts telling you what you're going to do, walk away. |
