Shepard Chevrolet Sold us a frame damaged vehicle. Lake Bluff, Illinois |

On June 13th, 2011 we bought an used 2005 Chevy Tahoe K1500 LS vin number 1GNEK13T65R243933 With 60749 Miles from Shepard Chevy located in Lake Bluff Illinois. In recentrains I found that this truck has a decent water leak in the cargo / tailgate area. I discovered the carpet in the rear cargo area and the rear driver side headliner soaked after our recent storms .From thevisual inspection of the headliner it looks like the water is coming in thru the roof somewhere and not from the tailgate weather strip, the trail of water travels from inside the headliner to the left side corner and then down to the trim and then to floor from there. Since we owned this SUV it was never damaged, the tailgate was never left opened. still the water comes in each time it rains. Along with the wet headliner and cargo carpet area you could see the water drops on inside plastic trim. Please notethat this type of the water leak could only be due to a defective or internally damaged body and could not be inspected while test driving or by initial visual inspection. The Tahoe sat on the dealer's lot for more than a months prior to our purchase, how could the dealer not notice this huge water leakage issue, it would have flooded out every time it rained or the lot attendants washed it. Immediately after buying this Tahoe we felt some foul odor, we assumed that it is due to the recent engine cleaning but that was leaking Freon, my entire family including 2 kids inhaled this Freon for around 3 days after that we realized that the ac of this truck is not working and that smell is leaking Freon gas is dangerous and that issue alone qualifies for a law suit but instead of seeking legal help we contacted the dealer and requested them to fix the ac. The ac was fixed by the dealer though the truck was in the dealerships service shop for almost a months then recently I spent $700 fixing brakes but now with this huge water leak it will be hazardous to drive this truck in rain and snow. Clearly we had been ripped off The vehicle was sold defective and should be buyback and we should be reimbursed for our the brake repair as well . Thanks.
