QUACK, QUACK, QUACK.......WORST DOCTOR & STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED Mr. Musinski can be contacted at his office or the following addresses: 541 VERBENA COURT, ENCINITAS CA. 92024 1580 MARTINGALE COURT, CARLSBAD CA. 92011 My experience with the All coast gynecology & Obstetric clinic is the WORST and most disturbing encounter I have ever had with a health care provider. Before anyone jumps to Scott Musinski's defense, let me explain My situation. Please keep in mind, I was there and this was my experience. If you are a past patient and had a positive outcome....good for you! But this was NOT my experience and it will not be over any time soon. I have worked for men like Musinski in the past, but being a patient for this type of person was more of a nightmare than I can adequately describe. I visited the office in my first trimester of pregnancy as a medi-cal patient. I was told by PAULA (pathological liar) who answers phones, that my insurance was acceptable. I had no reason to suspect I would treated like garbage and LIED to. My insurance is CHG, a plan which is paid for by medi-cal, medi-cal is insurance provided by the state of California for indigent people. But I was assured it was not an issue and in fact there are NO insurance issues at all. Except Mr. Musinski cannot over charge medi-cal. I was dumped as a patient basically for being poor and demanding the same quality of care as anyone with private insurance. The very first thing PAULA made me do was sign an arbitration agreement, bad sign. I knew there would be problems when I was forced to sign and realized there would be no accountability if anything went wrong. I was seen initially by Mary Ann Lugod-Manalad, a nurse. Prior to this visit I was seen 3 separate times in an emergency room for a hemorrhage. The condition was documented at the hospitals and ultra sounds confirmed the condition. The ER doctors gave me all paper work and ultra sound video, insisting I show them to Musinski. During my visit, Mary Ann REFUSED to view anything I brought in. She gave me an unnecessary vaginal ultra-sound, very quickly and told me I was FINE. She said I had no hemorrhage and I was just having mental health problems! Huge red flag, she did not realize I had worked as a nurse for many years and knew she was wrong and not qualified to be giving an ultra sound and should have reviewed the other doctors findings. I was promptly scurried out of the office and given lab slips to have screenings done for birth defects. At no time was I told this was optional, I opted not to do the testing (which the state will pay for) I knew immediately what would ensue. A few days later I back in an ER, bleeding, in pain, and my hormone levels had dropped for the second time. The ER staff was openly disgusted and appalled at the lack of concern I received from Scott Musinski's practice. I assume this was because the hospital referred me to this quack! I was checked at the hospital by the same people who had previously seen me. The ultra-sound tech verified that I was in fact still hemorrhaging and my hormone levels were low again. I was told it was imperative I seen a competent doctor for prenatal care. I had an appointment scheduled with Musinski, but before I could go I received a letter from Paula that stated I needed to follow up at a clinic/hospital that does not take my insurance. Paula was FULLY aware that my insurance was not accepted and that it was HER job to fill out forms for authorization for me to somewhere else. She failed and refused to do this! I called when I received the letter and was immediately treated like trash. Paula proceeded to tell me she had no idea why I was being dropped, I told her I need a reason. She began the endless lies at this point, first she said it was my insurance. I reminded her that she herself verified that my visits were covered. Then she tells me I am being dumped because I am such a high risk pregnancy. Funny....Mary Ann said I was FINE and it was all in my head? So I reminded miss Paula of this and then she became very condescending and evasive. I told her I knew this was because of money and they knew they could not charge medi-cal the same as private insurance. Paula laughed, very professional right? I continued to insist that she give me a valid reason. Paula responded that she gave me a reason and continued to speak to me in a very rude and condescending manner. I expected she would do this so I did record the conversation. When she continued to refuse to answer my questions or provide records etc. I asked her "if you are so concerned about my pregnancy being high risk, why are you dumping me with no where to go? Why did Mary Ann tell me I am fine and not at risk?" She then told me Scott Musinski told her to dump me as a patient. Of course she had no answer and hung up on me. I immediately called CHG, they called Paula because the explanation was obviously a lie. Upon speaking with Paula, the CHG worker told me Paula was evasive and rude with her as well. The CHG worker said Paula's story did not make sense and she was refusing to provide notes or information concerning my case. Paula refused to provide the insurance any information, lied to the worker and refused to fill out referral or authorization information that CHG requires by law. Muzinski's office has to provide good cause to drop me and must then obtain a prior authorization for me to be seen at a specialty clinic. Basically, they are claiming nothing is wrong with me, but they are dumping me for being high risk, but not concerned enough to do the necessary paperwork or even be decent to me. This is purely unethical and I am obviously being lied to and the insurance as well. Incompetence reigns supreme within this office and it is probably a blessing in disguise since honesty and integrity are an obvious issue within this office. This scam report is the first of several steps I intend to take towards Musinski and those who worked under him. The fact that the insurance worker was lied to and treated rudely, only confirms my suspicions that these behaviors are financially motivated. I can only imagine how many other women have been treated poorly and even denied care and their own records! Mr. Musinski needs to be accountable for his terrible staff and unethical practices. Unfortunately I cannot elaborate further due to the severity and number of grievances I am filing. I realize some patients may not agree and will probably stick up for this quack and his creepy nurse and other staff. Paula was such an OBVIOUS and proficient liar, this tells me Scott Musinski is accustomed to discarding and abusing indigent patients with no recourse. I intend to see this change, no one should be treated as terribly as I was. It is difficult enough to be pregnant and care for oneself, without being abused by doctors and staff.
