First of let me give this company the credit it deserves.I only shadowed twice and went out by myself once before quitting but It would be difficult to find a group of people that are more down to earth and chill than the group I found. The atmosphere is very cool and it was very enjoyable being at the office.I will give them that.As for the job my interview,it was very laid back and comfortable. The manager at the Tampa branch is very likeable but the conversation rarely brought up topics like past work experiences, your dream career etc.Like someone posted on here before I think theyre trying to find chill people who are willing to buy into this whole thing. He went on and on about the job blah blah blah thats fine,so he had me come in to shadow the next day. This experience was as far from enjoyable as I can imagine.Throughout the course of about 5 hours the person I shadowed sold 1 piece and nearly accepted a pinch of weed from the buyer for a price reduction. The employee was nice, bought me lunch etc,but the whole thing was sketchy. Over the weekend I formulated a series of questions that I should have asked initially, and I was particularly taken by the fact the the manager was trying to convince me not to go to college for the more time on the job. Anyways I figured screw it I will just try it out for a while and see whats up.My first day I had 3/4 of a tank of gas and he had me drive all the way out to st pete(45 min one way)got out there couldnt sell a thing, nearly ran out of gas so just returned my art. It wasnt for me.If you have the thick skin(and gas money) to go out and do this then by all means try it,but they promise this and that this and that and I didnt see anything that could benefit me.So no,its not a scam, but the level of income they promise is difficult to achieve. You're going to have to sell about 13 pieces each and every day to make the amount an 8 hour minimum wage shift would bring in because you have to sell 3 pieces to make your gas money THEN you START making money. |
