Rooms To Go Made several promises that was not kept just to make a sale Pembroke Pines, Florida |

On April 2011 my wife and I walked into Rooms To Go in Pembroke Pines. We met with the sales rep. and explained that we were interested in buying furniture to be delivered to North Carolina at a later date. We continued to explain that it needed to be delivered in a Box truck as out cabin was on a mountain and a full Semi Commercial truck would not make it. The sales rep. replied that they always do this kind of request and would not have any issues in doing this for us. Rooms To Go, first delivery attempt was a no show but we also explained that we had to hire our contractor to wait to allow the delivery to gain entrance to the house. This cost us 4 hours @ 57.00 an hour. Rooms To Go, Second delivery attempt was a show, but they showed up in a full Semi Commercial truck. As my wife and I stated from the beginning, we requested a Box truck as a Semi would not make it up the mountain. The delivery guys that delivered the furniture in the Semi truck could not arrange to get a box truck to assist. What they did do is ask my contractor to help them by using his personal truck. The third and final attempt was delivered with, believe it or not, a Semi truck. I was in route to the cabin from Pembroke Pines, expecting my furniture to be delivered and set up so when I arrived, We would have a place to sleep. We received a call from the delivery guys that they hit a traffic jam and would not be able to deliver the furniture until the morning. I was one hour away and had no where to stay at that time of the night with my two girls, wife and mother-in-law. We scrambled around calling everyone for a place to stay. Finally we had a person who rented us a cabin for one day at the last minute. This was a very bad experience we had and cost us allot of money out of pocket. Customer service said they were documenting all that occurred. I was pleased to hear that and put us at ease. We ended up receiving the furniture the next morning but, they arrived in a Semi Commercial vehicle again. I has to go out and rent a box truck that cost us more money but was confident that Rooms To Go would pay for the bill as it was there complete fault. I called customer service when I arrived back in Pembroke Pines, Florida and spoke with the manager of the Pines store, Ely. Ely said that I should call the corporate office. I did just that, in fact I spoke with a customer service rep. Claudia. Claudia said that they would not refund me nothing at first. After I explained, she said that the Pines Rooms To go store might give me a $50.00 gift card. *Note* My bill came back to $997.00 for the contractor waiting at the site for nothing, $350.00 for the box truck I had to provide and $400.00 for the rental of a cabin. Rooms to Go put me in a very bad spot and would not be responsible enough to admit or refund me for what they caused. I would highly recommend to buy furniture elsewhere. Rooms to Go has Very bad service and does not keep there word. I spoke with a Supervisor (Rose) who said that there is nothing she could do to help me in this matter. I ended up loosing and paying out of my own pocket, $1,747.00 BEWARE CUSTOMERS!!! |

I wish I wOuld have read all the negative feedback and complaints online before I went and bought a whole bedroom set from the in June!!
What a mission with these a-holes!!! I knew I should have gone somewhere else... The bed we bought was broken in two pieces, the chair for the desk rubs off a red color on ur clothes, their custom service wont even talk to u, told me to go through the store, I just got done talking to the store manager (allegedly!!) to tell me he couldn't do anything that had to be handled by customer service...while I was on the phone with customer service 2 days ago, the retarded lady told me rooms to go has no "customer satisfaction" policy... No shit!!! Bad thing is we all find out thE hard way!!
Will never in my life use them again! And I will make sure no one does either! |
