I purchased a Saint Bernard from Rama Jama Kennels and before I did I researched the net to try and find the best breeder possible. I live in the state of Pa and we are known for our puppy mills, so buying outside of Lancaster County was important to me. When I received Moose at the Airport he was very dirty and smelled badly. I chalked it up to the recent snowstorms in SD so maybe he wasn't able to be bathed. He was very scared of people, and acted as if he was never around them.I immediately took him to the Vet and he had badly infected ears ~ which are chonic to this day. My Vet and his assistants said no dog from a good breeder should have been sent in this condition. I received min. health papers taped to the top of his crate, no AKC papers. I wrote to Crystal with no response, which wasn't a major thing since I was getting Moose fixed and didn't find the papers important.
When Moose was alittle over a year old (15 mths +) he became very ill and his organs started shutting down. My wonderful Vet didn't give up on him and ran all types of tests on him. He has Addison Disease, and with medication will hopefully be with us for a long time.
The reason I am writing this is to warn people about this Kennel. If you can't personally check out a Kennel than you really shouldn't buy. You can see from pictures that these dogs they are kept in pens and notsocialized with people. How could they be withso many of them?I love my
Moose and wouldn't trade him for the world but that's the problem ~ Who's going to send back a puppy after you have fallen in love with them.

| You are just trying to cause problems, she has nice and healthy dogs and if there is something that comes up she does as her contract says. May be you have a vet like there are many trying to make some big bucks. I wouldnt believe that she would send a dog or puppy with dirty ears. What do you expect when these puppies are on the plane and in there crates for all day. Do you think they ahould smell good. I bet you vet went laughing all the way home for his fast buck he has made off of you. Use some common sense and dont spread garbage about some one you dont know on the internet. The many people that know her all know the joke is on you. Now you can have maybe twenty friends write your same story like you people like you do to a bunch a different good breeders. shame |

| There are complaints about her all over the internet. She no longer sells under the name "Rama Jama, " probably because she doesn't want people associating her with that name anymore. She was at one point a well respected kennel. Who knows what happened? She was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo chemo so maybe she wasn't able to care for all of those dogs as she should have been. She should have stopped breeding if that was the case. The Great, your grammar is terrible, and that doesn't help your "case." You are probably Crystal herself, or her husband. Why would this woman want to cause problems?? What does she have to gain? And being in a crate on a flight does NOT make a puppies ears filthy. That's laughable. And how dare you suggest her vet is scamming her! That is utterly ridiculous! What does that mean, the joke is on her? Was that a Freudian slip? Because it sure sounds like Crystal made a joke out of her, ... and many others. |
