Joe Ross, DBA R and R Roofing and Construction, ripped us off - he called nearly every day and came to visit several times until he got a down payment to build a garage for us. Then we did not hear from him again for 3 weeks until I went to his residence. He had told us the material would be delivered the week after he received the down payment - 2 1/2 months later we still have no material. Joe says anything and everything to get money from you then has every excuse in the world on why he can't come through. He has promised several times to return our money in FULL but we have not seen a dime of it. Joe did work approximately 3 days (over the course of 4 weeks) digging a trench for the footing - the longest day he put in was 4 hours and he never showed up before noon. The trench work was so poor that we just filled it in and started over.
I only hope that no one else makes the same mistake that we did. I wish I had come across a post like this when I looked up the company online.

Joe Ross, DBA R and R Roofing and Construction, got a down payment from us July 2, 2011, to build a garage. He said he would start the job July 15 and have it done in 2 weeks. He also said he would have the material delivered the week of July 4th. No material was ever delivered and we did not hear anything at all from Joe for 3 weeks – he would not return phone calls and only contacted us after I made a trip to his residence. The work he did was sub-par and he worked only 3 or 4 days and never more than 4 hours per day. We never saw ANY material and have not received ANY of our down payment back even though he has promised to return it in FULL SEVERAL times. Please be forewarned – I wish I had found a post like this before I gave this guy any money.

This is absolutely untrue. The Thompsons let us begin work, then decided they no longer wanted the building. I told them I would return the unused portion of their deposit as soon as I had secured it myself, and instead of being rational and waiting (since this was their own fault, and all), they drug my name through the mud in every way they could find (this website, for instance). They've caused me far more loss than they would have had coming back. We are honest, affordable, and do good work. I can provide references and a photo gallery for anyone in doubt.
