| My name is Darryl Owens from Minneapolis Minnesota. I am the author of novel that was published and released by publishamerica Janurary 3rd of 2011, the title of novel is titled Sworn not to betray. Published claims the royalty period ended in August, and all royalties and sales statements were mailed out August 31st. As of this date September 16th, I have not recieved any sales statements or royalties for above mentioned novel. I know the book made sales the main Library and several other libraries in my home town of Cincinnati Ohio purchased copies of my novel. which can be found on worldcat.org. I have friends who have purchased my novel here in Minnesota and in my hometown of Cincinnati... A mr Bob Spinner purchased 100 copies of my novel, for a upcoming book signing in October to be held at the head quarters of Catholic Charities, which is the head quarters of a homeless shelter, inwhich I have resided in since October 5th of last year. On the website of Barnes and Noble it clearly people who purchased my book also purchased or viewed several other books. The books which were purchased by several friends I can obtain. The only sales statement I recieved from publishamerica, was for an upcoming novel that hasn't been released titled A silent killer within, the statement exemplified there were no sales for said book during recent royalty period, which one would expect for a book that hasn't been released. They refuse to answer any of my emails, they won't allow from the royalty department to address me by phone. What they are getting away with is ludicrous. They must the city of Fredrick Maryland under their thumbnails. Something has got to be done! I feel so betrayed! |

| I'm the author of novel Sworn not betray. After complaining publishamerica finally sent me what they claim is a sales statement for above mentioned novel. The statement looks very bogus to me. The reason I say this is because the statement they sent for my second novel which hasn't been released. The statement was much more detailed than the one they sent for sworn not to betray. The other statement was much more detailed in relation it showed retail sales price $:00, tax deduction. $:00 quanity, $:00 etc, etc, This doesn't one for sworn not to betray doesn't have none of the above. It doesn't have any dates as to sales of book or where the books were purchased from via from actual stores or online.They say the book only sold twenty two copies at a sales price of $15:72. From the book's release date up untill the royalty period ended in August the sales price of novel was listed at an cost of twenty two dollars. I just come off line and the book cost is still listed at a cost of twenty two dollars or more. I know the book wasn't purchased from by amazon for $15:72 from the publisher, publisher america just to sit on Amazon's store shelf, not sure if the books were going to. Especially when they have an overhead... Alot of authors who were desperate in trying to get their books out such as myself. State that publishamerica has done the same to them, lied about actual sales of their books only to find out different down the line. They have ripped off so many people and continue to get away with it, cause they appear to have those in authority the city of Frederick Maryland on the publishamerica payroll. They are do to release my second novel a silent killer within, any time. But I don't care now if they release the book are not cause I know they are going to lie come February about the sales of both books. They are a rogue company out to destroy the hopes and dreams of people who are trying to become discovered and make something of their lives. They need to be stopped. |
