Netbook Scam, Something you should know!

Want to know is Prosource wireless is running a netbook scam? Well I can attest that it is not. I got exactly what I paid for. I bought a black netbook, and tablet. Both arrived in a timely manner.

These will make perfect gifts for my grandchildren. I had some issues setting it up. When I called I was helped by a nice boy named Shawn. He was so kind and very knowledgeable.

I truly believe there is some good guys left on the internet! Do your research, check Ratings and reviews!

Oh yeah Shawn is great, he seem to be the only one working there. I received my first set of netbooks and one would power up but not connect to the internet, the other one would not power up at all. I immediately contacted the company and was given an rma number to return. I had to pay to ship back. I immeditely voiced my complaint about that, I was promised by Shawn that I would have 11.65 back on my account for the return shipping. I received two new netbooks on 10-3. My husband and I worked on them for over seven hours and could not get them to connect. I immediately sent in the form and then called this morning and was told that I would have to wait 24 hours for a response. There products are crap, there customer service is crap and they need to be shut down. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

THE THIEF OF PROSOURCE WIRELESS.
I bought the 7” netbook in good faith, and for extra $ 37.00 I got a buttery and memory upgrade. The final price was $ 135.00. I returned the machine (include postage $ 13.00) because the Wi-Fi and other problem. I was told by this one and only person who works there that yes I will get my refund. Now, here is the rub, the refund I got amounted to $71.00, and the buttery and memory upgrade were nonrefundable—no one told me this before I bought the damned thing. I would rather give this money to charity then to this thief.

These $94 "netbooks" are complete scams. Cheap Chinese-made junk that will not operate at even a bare minimum. I had a horrible experience from Prosource Wireless and advise all to STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

I guess I have the same deal as everyone else I should have looked closer before I ordered. I received my pad and it did not work. Called back, Shawn seemed to be knowledgable and said to return it and he would refund my shipping. I returned it and still have not received my exchange and cannot get hold of them.

I have the same problem, i bought 2 netbooks, they will not connect to the internet and everytime i call i speak to shawn who is no help at all. I am now trying to get a full refund so i can purchase some products that actually work, there company is terrible and should be shut down.

One more embarassed buyer here. I saw the glittery ads of netbooks for under 100 bucks, and got sucked in before doing my due diligance. I recommended these to friends who also got sucked in. Their entire website is a a scam as well. All their talk about how important customers are, is a JOKE! And the loads and loads of FAKE testimonials, are just that a LOAD! (of you know what)

The beat here is how they go on and on about how great these are for travel, giving the implicaton that they can connect to any wifi hotspot. Well thats a bold face lie! I am a very technical person, and I have searched and searched for ANY way to get a wireless adapter to actually work at ALL! The issue is the crappy CE Operating system. All the adaptors have downloadable drivers but NONE are CE Compatible, and the wifi setup on the crappy device, no one seems to know anything about. The so called customer support at this group of thieves are totally clueless to anything past taking your cash!

And then the $35 restocking fee! Another cruel joke1

Bottom line stay FAR FAR FAR Away from these theives!

I have filed a complaint with BBB as well as the Florida State Attorneys office.

I BELIEVE IT IS A SCAM TOO. I ONLY RECIEVED PATY OF MY ORDER, AND TRIED TO REACH THEM AT NO AVAIL FOR 3 DAYS. FINALLY, I LEFT A THREATENING MESSAGE MAKING SURE TO MENTION MY ATTORNEY AND 5 MINUTES LATER I HAD AN EMAIL FROM THE COMPANY APOLOGIZING FOR THE MIX UP AND PROMISING TO EXPEDITE THE REST OF MY ORDER! NOT TO MENTION THE NETBOOK IS CHEAPLY MADE AND I'M ALMOST POSITIVE THE TOUCHSCREEN TABLET WILL BE TOO. AND IT'S FUNNY TO ME THAT ON THE REFUNDS POLICY PAGE ON THEIR WEBSITE SAY'S ITEM HAS TO BE RETURNED WITH IN 14 DAYS OF THE ORIGINAL ORDER DATE, WHICH DOESN'T GIVE YOU MUCH TIME TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS...STAY AWAY!!!

I agree. This company is crap. I ordered a 7inch tablet on November 25th. I was then called by one of the representatives. They informed me that my tablet battery only was good for about 30mins of work time. He wanted to know if I wanted to upgrade the battery to a 3hr battery for a fee of course. He also asked me did I want the 2yr extended warranty. I did purchase both. The tablet was $79.99 and the extended warranty/battery was an additional $33.00. Today is December 12 and I still don't have my merchandise. When I call the number I am unable to get through. They had sent me a tracking number on December 3rd but it doesn't even show that my package have been picked up and shipped. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR ELSE YOU WILL TRULY REGRET IT!!!

yea, this sounds like one of the fake reviews written by the guy that runs this scam. They're few and far in between the real reviews from the majority of us that have been ripped off by prosource wireless.

Same story here...ordered 2 netbooks then called 10 minutes later to change order to tablets (was charged a 8$ service fee for change to order) and was sold the same memory and battery upgrade along with warrenty. Shipping was fine, got immediately, but was the orginal order of 2 netbooks. Called customer service...and suprise...absolutley no help. First he proceeded to blame me because I changed the order (and was charged 8 for the change). He did offer an exchange for the correct merchandise but I would have to wait until the hetbooks were recieved back then I would be shipped my actual order. That was not good so I asked for a refund; they still wanted to charge me the restlaking fee for an order that was incorrect. So I would have to pay him to restalk his screw up. It would cost me early $100 to get part of my money back and no merchandise, because they screwed up an order? I tried to ask for a supervisor; Im convinced this is a one man operation to scam money. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR ELSE YOU WILL TRULY REGRET IT!!!

the site boasts next day shipping. I ordered a pink netbook for my daughter on 12/8 for Christmas and still have not received it. They "said" they shipped it on 12/19, and still no netbook...so, I cannot even complain about it not working yet... I will post about that later, if I ever get it... I had to tell my daughter that sometimes Santa has to send an elf later... I am very disappointed.

I ordered a Mini Netbook for my nephew at 8:27AM on the 18th of December. I paid an additional $29.99 for express shipping to guarantee 1-2 day delivery. The order ststus on the website gives me a ship date of 12/20 and a tracking number, with no link to how it was shipped or how to track its progress. I called the 1-800 number and left a voice mail with all the information and my phone number. I emailed them through the website with the same. It is now December 27th. No only have I still not received the netbook, but I have had no communication with anyone from ProSource. I can appreciate a mess up with shipping during the last days of holiday shopping, but no communication from the company is inexcuseable. I felt badly for my nephew, and it was embarrasing for me. I was led to the ProSource website through Amazon, whom I have shopped with for years without problems from any vendor. Now I know...check the reviews first before you buy! Will let you know how it all ends. Stay tuned...

Santa got my daughter a pink netbook that clearly said wifi and that doesn't work I called and the lady said go buy a wireless card (thinking pretty foolish since it should be set up with wifi) but I went to get one so Santa wasn't a complete failure. Paid 49.99 for wireless card to only find out that none of the usbs even work! There isn't even an ip address for this netbook. It is a piece of crap! As my daughter started crying and now thinks that because she was naughty the elves made her a computer that doesn't work! Now I have to try and find another computer for her and becareful what I say in front of her so that Santa isn't destroyed forever! They now changed their website saying before December 15 they did not advertise wifi! HA! What a joke! I also filed a complaint with bbb in Florida! Good luck to us all. Yes we should read reviews and stuff but it's just so sad that we have to think people will purposely screw us over to make a buck.

Update, still no net book received... my daughter thinks Santa did not bring it because she was bad. When I called to get more info on the tracking number it turns out it is bogus. When you go on the USPS website and enter the tracking number it only states that they were notified it was being sent to them, but, there is no proof that prosourcewireless even sent it. This is ridiculous. I too was led to the link from Amazon, shame on me for not using Google to check feedback first!!

I bought a netbook from ProScource and the only complaint that I have is that I didn't do more reasearch on the netbook I was ordering and this company, so mostly my fault. I was however going off of a referral from someone I knew. This company has THE WORST customer service. And they are so mater of fact, they don;t really care if you keep or send back the stuff you bought or why you are sending it back. I won't just be going on someone's word ever again, I've learned my lesson.

Hi! I am a victim too and I work in law enforcement! I am in the process of filing a criminal complaint against the company through the Boca Raton Police Dept. I have the same story as everyone else and what they are doing is borderline criminal. They had an unauthorized use of my credit card and that's how I'm going after them. I recommend that you contact the police dept, if you have a similiar issue! These guys are scammers and should be shut down! Please help me shut these ($&*#) down!

Wow-Pro Source Wireless is terrible. I ordered an android and Netbook with a follow up order for memory upgrade, extended warrany and cases. A total of $300.00. I was not sent a receipt for the order, and when received, I received a dysfunctional netbook and 2 cases only! The netbook would not connect to the internet, as complained about by other consumers on this site. When I called them to request that I return it for a full refund, they said they would have to charge me again for a re-stocking fee! After researching with the BBB, on a scale of A-F, Pro Source Wireless has an F due to unresolved complaints. I feel so taken, and my daughter is still waiting for her Christmas present.
