| I foolishly used priortax.com to try to do my 2009 tax returns. They charged me $50.00 for no services what so ever. They stole my money. I realized they were a fake internet scam as I was beginning to type in very sensitive information. The website was not secure (first major red flag), then I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and it did not take very long researching on the internet to find that this particular company which also has other fraudulent tax companies (I believe rapidtax.com is the other one) and that they have been ripping people off for years. There were many accounts of other people filing their taxes with them only to find out that they had been scammed, their identity potentially stolen, and your taxes are still not taken care of. I still want my 50 bucks back! It looks like I will have to chalk up that loss. I had to change my bank account and everything. They still got my address, social security number, and where I work. It is very unsettling knowing that my personal information is floating around for criminals to use. These people at priortax.com are subhuman creeps who make a living out of scamming poor people out of their hard earned money. They should be prosecuted for the theft and fraud they have committed against numerous people, not just myself. What goes around comes around and one day these criminal internet thugs will get what they deserve. I am embarrassed to admit that I had fallen victim to an internet tax scam but I was. I am writing this so that other people know not to mess with these people when it comes to taxes, they will steal your money and your taxes will remain unprepared, not to mention your identity could be stolen. I am also hoping that someone in the legal world will investigate and prosecute these criminals for stealing from unsuspecting poor people. They are a fraudulent company! Do not use them! They do not deserve to do taxes, they deserve to do jail time! |

We work hard to address and resolve any issues that may arise in the course of a customer's experience with us and are always available to discuss any concern a client might have. Further, as a representative of the company, I'd like to take this opportunity to make clear that we consider this "customer's" accusations baseless, insulting, and in fact suspicious. For the record, PriorTax.com is a legit, successful company that has been in operation for a full six years. We have had no recent complaints from the Better Business Bureau. Any complaints we received in the past have always been handled promptly and without fail.
The client mentioned a concern for his privacy. This is without foundation: our privacy policy is vetted by Trustee. In addition, we are Verisign secured and McAfee tested on a daily basis.
Finally, I'd like to establish what our PriorTax.com services consist of. For the competitive price of $35 for a Federal return, and an additional $20 for state, we will review and prepare your return. We also offer you free live chat and expert tax advice. We provide you with the completed paperwork quickly and efficiently. All you need to do is mail it to the IRS and/or state.

After further investigation, we were able to identify the customer and are pleased to report that the customer's complaint has been handled and that the matter has been resolved to our mutual satisfaction.
