As of April 29th, the drapery has not been delivered and Mr. Lee either does not answer calls and emails or keeps delaying delivery. This man and his wife are frauds. I should have read reports first... it all just happened so fast. John S. Lee (626) 549-5282 came out for an estimate... was so nice and polite. Took all the measurements... did everything right... except actually deliver a product.
We paid 50% down... roughly 2k with our credit card thankfully. 5-7 weeks was the delivery time. That was over 4 months ago... still nothing. I keep trying to call him... I leave messages all the time, every now and then he used to pick up and promise to call back... but he didn't... now he doesn't even pick up.
I feel like a sucker having not done my homework before hand or even while he was there... I just felt like we were moving down a path that seemed logical at the time to make the order the same day. He had quality products in hand, great trade brochures, again everything seemed legit. BUT HE IS NOT. go read other reports... nothing is good and the 2 that are (on Yahoo) are not real.
Bottom line... if you want to go through the hassle of disputing a charge on your credit card for goods not delivered... and if you want to order then reorder and wait the better part of a year for blinds and shutter... by all means use this low life salesman. |

| I almost hired this dirtbag to install a garden window. He was supposed to come out for an appointment but when I text'd to confirm he blew me off and told me to go to Home Depot. I thought that was rather poor service so then I typed his phone number on google and I found all these stories about how they were ripped off. Thanks for getting your stories out there people- I might've been the next victim. I'm sorry you had to go through the bad experiences though... |

I have also been scammed by John Lee to the amount of $5, 000. I must have made it too easy for him, but he seemed so reputable at the time. I have a home that a lot of work was going to be done on and he had a short 2 week turn around time. I was told that because of the changes in the order he would have to push back the the delivery date. He then continued to use all of the delay tactics. The order from China was delayed, his father was sick, his father died, he was experiencing financial hardship and then crickets. He promised to deliver my deposit back, but nothing.
Now I'm the one with the financial hardship. I worked hard and saved for shutters for 5 years and now I'm out half the money. |
