We hired Mr. Priest of Priest Chimney Sweep & Restoration Specialists (705-721-8100 Barrie, Ontario) to replace the chimney cap that blew off our chimney the 22 Mar 2007. He came and installed what looked like a used one. His receipt (available on request) consisted of nothing more than his business card with the following on the back. 85

202.52 My wife informed me that he charged 85 labor, 75 for the cap and 25 for applying silicone to part of our roof. I am concerned that he does not claim his taxes as he only wrote the receipt on the back of his business card, which I have, and he recorded this no where else. His total before taxes, $185, does not coincide with the total of $202.52. That tax value cones to 9.5%, a strange value indeed. Shannon, my wife wrote him a check for $252.52 vice 202.52 by mistake. Mr. Priest cashed it. I have called him well over 10 times. He has replied with, ?The check is in the mail' many times. I asked him twice to put a return address on his envelope. He does not return my calls. It is quite evident that he has no intention of returning this overpayment. On later inspection, he did not add silicon to our roof. Also he had stated that our exposed chimney was ready to fall out and needed to be replaced. On inspection, this is a total fabrication. Mr. Randy Priest should be ashamed of his unprofessional business practices.
