AZTechglasstint.com Mike Adams Horrible Auto Window Tint (ripped off) Gilbert, Arizona |
9th of Jun, 2011 by User807468 |
Beware of AZtechglasstint.com. The owner & installer is Mike Adams and his business number number is: 480-221-0438 and is based in Gilbert. I needed the windows tinted on my car and wanted mobile service. I called this company and fell for his pitch about having 30 years experience. What a nightmare. After about 90 minutes of Mike Adams chain smoking on my property and blasting my car stereo while he tints the car, he finally finishes. Now my car stinks of cigarette smoke but that is another issue. The car is in a garage & it is a dark tint so I don't immediately notice any issues. I didn't drive the car until the next day when I notice what appears to be a scratch or tear on the tint. I called the company and mentioned that it looks like there was a small tear or scratch with the tint. The woman who answers the phone (his wife or girlfriend since she accompanies him on his jobs) immediately began to argue with me that it wasn't them & I had to have done it with the seat belt. I politely asked them if I could bring the car to them to look at so we could figure out how to resolve or repair. After emailing them pictures and attempting to follow-up a few times, they will not respond and purposely ignore my attempts to remedy the situation. I took my car to a different tint shop today and they confirmed there is an issue with the tint job & laughed when I told them that Mike Adams and AZtechglasstint.com claims I must have received the scratches from a seat belt. Turns out there are two scratches - one on a rear door window & one on the rear glass that is nowhere near a seat belt and no one would touch the inside of that glass. After spending $150 with Mike Adams and AZtechglasstint, I now have to pay a different company to remove the tint & redo it correctly. Avoid Mike Adams and AZtechglasstint.com They screwed up my cars auto tint - don't let them screw up yours. Note, this company also does residential homes with the same owner/installer, Mike Adams.

This is Mike Adams from Az-Tech Glass Tint. I was indeed called to this mans house to tint his Volvo. After discussing what shades he wanted on his car, I tinted his car and after completion he inspected it throughly and was extremely pleased with the services provided. (By the way, I don't even smoke)
Approximately 1 week later, we recieved a call from the customer stating that there was a stratch in the rear drivers side roll-up. I informed him that although scratches in the tint are not covered under the factory warranty, I would be glad to take a look at it. I tried several times to schedule him in to review the problem. The customer repeatedly rescheduled the appointment time becuse of work related conflicts. I finally told him to give me a call when he indeed had a break in his schedule.
I never heard from him again. Next thing I know I was informed of this bogus complaint issued on this website.
Moral of this story? Some people, you just can't please no matter how hard you try. I have been in the window tinting industry for over 30 years and have tinted many many cars, houses and commercial buildings with VERY minimal complaints. No one is perfect and no one does flawless work 100% of the time. However, service is my number one priority and this man just refused to allow me to rectify the problem for him, even though scratches are not covered under any circumstances under the warranty.
