Preferred Guest Resorts Best Vacations Ever told me would get all info in a few days and maybe able to use within month because I was going to be in
25th of Jan, 2011 by
I answered a radio ad regarding a way to loose weigh twith free product if number was called in certain time frame. Didn't want product, but was asked if would be interested in info on vacations. I answered yes and was put in contact with this company Preferrd Guest Resorts. They sell time shares all over the world.

There was a small pitch and when I said no the salesman started telling me if I just went to the 60 to 90 min. presentation I could get free or discountedcertificate for vacation things in select areas. I would have to paya fee for these things, but it was still cheaper. No mention was ever made that you had to sit througha presentation for each paid item.

I paid almost $1,000 for all of the things I got. Received 2 emails telling me about my puchases and responsibilities, which is when I found out about having to sit through so many presentations. I was sent no info on the states these were in, although I did know a few, or about the hotels available to stay in when it was time to use them or the car rental company they used. I called one evening and the man answering was rude and put me to an extention that had an answering machine. I left a message and never heard a word back. I am now in Flordia for 6 weeks and could use these things and have nothing. I am in my 60's and just recently lost my husband. I felt this would be a good chance for me to get out and socialize again, but I guess I am too trusting.

I won also, 3000 dollars, but was wise enough to google it meanwhile, and when i started reading these posts for them, they hung up on me.

Same as the rest of you - phoned to order a TopStyler for a Christmas present - got transferred over to Preferred Guest Resorts - Best Vacation Ever! - and got told I would get 7 days of vacation free - when i still stalled, the bigger boss came on the line and told me he would also add in 5 days in Costa Rica as we were going there. I had him check the dates I was looking for and he said they were available. So, I signed up. Then when I phoned the following day to book my reservation, I was told that there was no availability. Then I asked to speak to customer service - they checked and said "oh yes" there is availability. I was sent a form that I had to fill out - Did that and faxed back to them. Waited a week - then called them - Guess what!!! Told they had no availability again. Stay away from these people - they are rip off artists!!! They should not even be allowed to operate. Now I have to tray and fight with them to get my money back. What a way to end the Year!

This scares me...we have bought the above package to The country Inn and Suites 4 days 3 nights and it came with the Daytona Beach trip as well but only for 3 days and 2 nights there. We are going in June. What can we expect then????
4744 days ago by Stacyw
Ok so we have the same package for Orlando/Daytona. I did know we are staying at the Country Inn And Suites and that we have to pay a deposit on the room. It states that we dont have to do a sales session in Daytona. These things are scaring me about what my husband and I have got into to take our child to Disney world. What should I expect?

I was just called by Preferred Guest Resorts. I live in BC, Canada. I asked how they got my number, and they said it was because I owned a timeshare (which I do not). However we did attend on timeshare deal with Marriott about three years ago which was great. The fellow seemed reluctant to go into much detail with my questions, I think they are told to just ask prodding questions to which there are obvious answers, and go through their speil. If you ask too many questions, they then transfer you to someone else. At one point when I was trying to ask a question the guy was talking over me. Anyway he then transferred me to this other fellow, Ethan, who introduced himself as the, "uh, Director of (something or other).

They had offered the VIP tour with stays in Orlando, Florida (at Calypso or Bahamas Bay), 3 days in Daytona Beach, Florida, and 4 days 3 nights at Grand Bahamas Island (Island Palms Resort & Flamingo Bay). Because I sounded hesitant, they said, well, because I'm on the West Coast they would throw in 5 days and 4 nights in Cancun Laguna Suites. By then I had finished reading on the internet about Preferred Guest resorts so after about 15-20 minutes on the phone with them, I said, "Actually, I think I'm done now, so thanks". He asked why, and I said because I just looked them up on the internet and it doesn't look very good. So he finally gave up and hung up on me. I think he may have swore at me too... These guys waste so many people's time not to mention money, it was a bit of fun to make them feel like they wasted their time and effort.

Just got off the phone with a Reservation Manager of this Scam called Rosa. I was the 1million customer winner with prizemoney of $3, 000 and trips to costa rica, Daytona beach, Disneyworld, Bahamas, car hire etc etc ...I was asked to pay almost A$900 with my credit card but I refused so I hung up. I am one that doesnt believe in being handed out free stuff as such so that's why.
And I am glad that I did because as soon I hung up I googled this Preferred Guest Resorts and BINGO ...thanks everyone.
Yes to readers out there be aware of this people they shouldnt be allowed to do this sort of thing to anyone as there are lots of vulnerable people out there who got sucked in easily with these types of scams.
Is there a website we can complain about this sort of behavior so it can stop these types of vultures?

I just got a call from a very nice lady at Preferred Guest Services congratulating me on my good fortune.. I was going to receive a 4day/3night stay in Orland as well as Daytona Beach or Ft.Lauderdale (my choice) and to top it off an all inclusive Costa Rica Trip all for only $498.- per person with the 3rd guest being free... I immediately looked up the company and read some of the complaints on a separate site, while still being kept on the phone.. when I responded that I am not interested in the offer I was quickly transferred to the next level where I was told that they had a A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.. again I quickly googled this and there was not an accreditation with them... when mentioning this to the sales person and again trying to politely decline she stopped arguing and just hung up the phone...buyers cautious!

I haven't received my packet for the trip. They assured me it would be here in 7 days with the option to cancel within 60 days. I am filing a dispute with the credit card company. I haven't been able to make contact with the sales people, After what I read here I plan to opt out. I could take a week cruise for the same money and would not have to sit thru a sales pitch.

WARNING BEST VACATIONS IS A SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I never received a packet either. The phone number that I received was not an accurate number. By the time it took me to cancel the promotion deal, I was told that I could not get a refund because it has been over 30 days. Ironically, I was called by an associate on the 26th (the last day that I could cancel, only I did not know this at the time because I was never told how long I had to cancel). Anyway, I told her that I needed to cancel because my husband was laid off and we could no longer afford the package and that I wanted to cancel. She said, "I will talk to my boss on Monday and get back with you". Of course no one called me back, and it took me until today (Feb 1) to get to a live person. The number that she called me from, always had a recording that she was unavailable. How convenient. She knew when she called me, that it was my last day to cancel and stalled until after that date. I will be disputing on my credit card. BUT THIS IS A BIG SCAM!!!

I got 3 nights in Orlando, 3 nights in Daytona Beach, 4 nights in Costa Rica (all expenses paid), 3 nights in Los Vegas, Two 2 night stays at one of there other resorts in the US, $40 dinner certificate, 2 tickets to a theme park or a 1 week rental car for $198. Yes, I knew we would have to sit through a 90 minute time share presentation at each place. (No big deal to us). I do have to pay taxes for each night we stay and there are extra fees for the rental car if you try and get it during a high peak (Spring Break) time. They offer upgrades at some of the resorts. I'm not expecting the delux room, just a standard room at hopefully a nice resort. We have booked 4 of these trips back to back so I'll have to get back to you on how it all works out. So far so good although they are a bit slow on confirming each place so that I can work on travel arrangements. I hope I don't regret this but so far it seems legit. No it's not a free vacation, but I do feel I'm saving some $ on accomadations. I'll get back to you when the trip is over. Signed, Hopeful

A pop up came on my laptop to say I had won a $3000USD vacation in Orlando, Florida, Daytona, Costa Rica with apckages for Disney World Rental Car etc. There was a New Zealand phone number to ring which transferred to Orlando and then the Hype started. The hard sell went on for approx half an hour and then they finally said that my contribution towards this was $898USD and they said that i had to make a discision there and then and pay that amount. There were probably 4 people invloved on the phone and one of them was a girl. I baulked at the amount to pay and they reduced it to $498USD which I finally paid via visa.
This all happened on the 24 Feb 2012 and no more details have been forth coming.
After the intial phone call I became suspicious and immediately cancelled my visa card but the transaction had already gone through as it must have happened whlle I was talking to them on the phone !
On the 6 March another phone call happened from a mister Alan Sumlin saying he was from Preferred Guest Resorts saying they would extend the vacation time to 3 years amoung other things. At this time I demanded my money back and are still, at the time of writing, fighting for this through my bank.

Same deal for me too. Wasted 25 mins talking to them, hearing about the great prize, this and that, being transferred to a booking agent etc, and then being asked for my credit card details to PAY FOR MY PRIZE.! F-ME, it's 7am in the morning in Sydney and this Congratulations message came to me through a legit site (or so I thought). Googled Preferred... they have a pretty long rap sheet. STAY CLEAR. How the hell are they still operating. Wake up America, they're in your backyard!

I also got offered the $3000 deal, they (3 different people) ran through everything so fast on the phone but all about what I would get and nothing about the Terms and Conditions. I was quite concerned especially when he said he was verifying whether I had a credit card and then using my details to purchase the vacation without asking if I wanted to purchase it (I realise how naive and too trusting I was to take him at his word) He also said it was fully refundable should I change my mind. He said it was one payment of 450 pounds but later I found they tried to take 790 pounds via 5 different purchases. Luckily my bank spotted it as fraud and they only managed to take 394 pounds.

On making this partial payment they acted as if I had purchased the lot and finally gave me the Terms and Conditions in an email. on reading these and realising that I didn't meet the Terms because I was single (which they told me at the time didn't matter) I preceeded to cancel my purchase one week later. I rang was told by the person who answered that they couldn't give me a refund and that the person who could wasn't in the office now but that they would put this call and what I wanted in my notes/ their notes and they would have the registration manager ring me back on the number I gave them. They never rang.

I persevered and rang multiple times including every day in the last week but always got told the same story. When I rang today and finally got put through to the Finance Manager. He first rattled off all the things he would give me to boost my package and let me use it despite me telling him I couldn't afford it. After insisting several times that all I wanted was my money back he told me it was now the 30th day and my purchase was now non refundable. When I told them I had been calling for the last 3 weeks they said they have no notes next to my file that says that and therefore it could not be verified. When I told him the names of the people I had spoken to he said he knew those people but it was too late to get a verification from them and there was nothing he could do.

Bottom line... get out when you can! This is a huge SCAM!! They are lying to you and will do anything to get your money. Girl in Austria.

Hello I am from France and as many complaints as above it happened to me too. Yesterday while surfingI saw the pop up and indeed there offer was very exciting so I went on and give them my credit card number. I spoke to the man called Jonathan Wight who recorded my voice. Two hours later I wanted to cancel the package deal and he said the cancellation is not allowed. I could only extend my travel dates up to 18 months, give away to others . I Won a 3000 dollars shopping stay in Calypso cay resort Daytona beach car rental unlimited mileage, Bahamas, Costa rica. So I called the Calyso Resort in Florida shortly after and he told me that he never heared about them. I will try again to contact them because they sent me a purchased coupon saying all my itinerary but not my billing receipt. anyone one knows how I will get my money back? Person to contact? The site starts with starvacationningnow, then it become bestvacationever.com then PGR Preferred guest resort. Please tell me what to do and get my money back.
Thanking you all,
silly france

I also have been offered the 3000 dollars...what a pity, it all sounded so good, to be true...is there anyone who has had a great time with these people? it would be good to know if there wasnt a scam..i said i wanted to dsiscuss this with my husband..and what was the hurry...They were trying to pressure me into paying before i talked to him at work and i said i wasnt interested, ...all the time I was looking up this site and told them there have been complaints about their company online...they said it was unfortunate...perhaps its good I refused this..my husband always says dont respond to pop ups, and every time i do i get sucked in for a while...should have listened to him.

I do not have a problem contacting yesterday. I spoke to the customer service department but insist that I am not allowed to cancel my package deals. I had a bad night sleep and a fight with my husband. So the following morning I phoned again and spoke to a nice guy at 5 in the morning their time and he told me to ring in 4 and a half hours time. I waited then and spoke to them the first man who answeedr the phone was very nice and professional then without any problem he transfer my call to someone who isdealing with the insurance. I talked to him and he cancelled my deals after a long negociation lowering my travel deals down to 50 dollars only and extend my travel time to 3 years. I still say no to him so then he told me it is already done. I will see if they already debit my card. I will let you know.

I never have any problem cancelling my package deal vacation 898 dollars instead of 3898. From Florida, daytona, Bahamas, Costa rica and a week car rental illimited miles. I must say one day I will decide better with lots of thinking before buying my next holiday. I might go back to them again to book my future holiday. It is a pity that the resort is not very clear that it is a time share promotional sale. I think that they could lost a lot of customers this way by forcing people in a few lapse of time to decide to buy something important. They paid me back my purchase in two days time. Bravo PGR.

I am really not sure what to think, I just googled the website listed on the info pack they sent me and I see all of these BEWARE OF SCAM WARNINGS??? Oh boy, I am so very worried. I was just about to book the holiday package to Florida, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Bahamas, including Disney World tickets, car hire, etc etc. This company contacted me when I receiving treatment for multiple Brain Tumors and told me they knew I was having a hard time and that is why I was put in some competition. Apparently I was the GRAND PRIZE WINNER, !! It took them more than 90mins to convince me this was legit, but eventually I believed it to be true.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF I BOOK THIS TRIP AM I GOING TO ACTUALLY RECIEVE WHAT THE PAPERWORK STATES.??? I am still recovering from almost 12months of Chemo & Radiation Therapy and could not cope with filthy accommodation Or EXCESSIVE EXTRA EXPENSES. I just need a break and really don't care if I have to spend 90mins listening to some sales pitch, PLEASE I NEED SOME STRAIGHT FORWARD ADVISE FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN THE TRIP
