We rented from Plus Property management for 2 years. We took care of the home while we lived there. There were issues that arose while we were there like leaks in the walls, garbage disposal not working, lawn dead, and many other issues that took weeks to take care of were never taken care of at all.
When we moved out I was sick and didn't clean the house like I usually do when we move out of a house. I figured that the worst charge would be around $200 or about 8 hours. And that would include cleaning a 2200 sq. ft. home washing window, sweeping, moping dusting and cleaning bathrooms (carpet cleaning is hired out). We are not a messy family. We were more than shocked when instead of a partial refund of our deposit we were being billed an additional $200. They claimed it took 28 hours to clean the house and charged us a whopping $700. I've never heard of anything like this before! The only reason it would take 28 hours to clean a house is if you had a monkey do it (even then I'm sure it wouldn't take that long). Needless to say I think they were "embelishing" a little on the estimate as the property management company cleans it themselves....hmmm.
On top of that they charged us to clean and repair blinds that were ours. We left them thinking the new tenants might appreciate them. We never would have left them if we knew the property management would charge us for the missing wands. They also charged us for paint spots on the windows that were done by the contractor who painted the house in the first place.
I have to say that this property management is the most outrageous one I've ever delt with and would not recomend them to anyone.
They are awful for the owner and tenant. They left a leak unfixed for days while we called multiple times a day to try to get them to come out. It then took them days to fix it. I don't believe the owner would appreciate this.
They also never returned phone calls. Whenever we called if we by chance got a human being they would put us through to voice mail.
The only way we ever got anyone out is if we got so fed up that we wrote them an email explaining why were frusterated and demand they send someone.
I would think twice before renting from a company like this. Just be prepared to lose your deposit!....and then some.
