did the same as everyone else and made the same mistake signing up. I thought I had to enter a credit card to get into the system. I didn't know they were going to charge my card as soon as I was going to the next page.

I have never had a site that doesn't give you a review of your charges you will be agreeing to before you are charged. This was the first one as it instantly charged my card 159.00.

I immediately attempted to find a contact number for customer service which I finally did find after Google search that someone else had posted. I also found all the others posted complaints that have been ripped off by this site and realized I was in for a fight. I was lucky and talked to a representative. The rep gave me the information for the four page request for refund and I then send it through the mail. I sent it registered mail so they could not deny ever receiving it.

I called a week later and they said they had it and it was being reviewed. Another week and I was told it was approved. Another week after that, I couldn't find the number to call and had to resort to the online chat. I was told it was approved and was being taken care of.

I asked "when... like right now you are doing it and approving it?" In so many words she said yes. So a week later it was credited to my credit card. It took a month, but I did get it back.

Hang in there or call your credit card company and let them go after them if all else fails. It is a scam based on the information out there. The few winners who happen to have thousands of wins. Nobody has that much time or money. They apparently have a bot system that keeps bidding the product up and eventually the computer bot wins as they take everyone that bids money.

Steer clear and learn a valuable lesson as I did. I am very computer savvy have hundreds of bids from eBay with 100% feedback. It goes to show how many thieves are out there and using the internet to part you with your money. Before you sign up for a company that looks too good to be true, Google the company name and add "reviews" to the inquiry.

You will get a general idea of the company, reputation, pitfalls and experiences dealing with them. You can save a lot of money, time and heartache. I wish the best of luck to you how are dealing with these people getting the same results I did.

This is an Internet Auction/Bid site that is a complete SCAM. Although I bid on items, I did NOT win nor receive any merchadise yet they kept my bid funds of 4962.00. Again, it is a complete SCAM!

Thought I was just setting up an account for future use. All of a sudden the page changes and said I just purchased 300 bids for 159.00. I immediately wanted to cancel and the only way you can is through their "live chat". Sent paperwork for refund two weeks ago and still received nothing. Always have to use live chat when making inquiries and keep telling me to wait. Here's another kicker, the company is out of the country and they also charge you credit card an "international fee" of 3.98. As of today, I am still waiting for my refund.

They claim that one you become a member for 149 they give you 300 bids. I paid with the credit card expecting an honest bidding. I encountered the following problems: 1- I made no more than 15 bids when I was prompted to buy new bids because my bids were over (imagine from 300 to 15. Let's say 100 bids I consumed which was not the case under any circumstances).

2- When I enter the bid, the time start from 11 min and decreases to one minute but the bidding never ended, since the time never reached zero minutes.

3- There was only a chat room available for complaints. I have the chat script as doc copy. The person on the other end did not want to unsubscribe me. Instead, she directed me to page where they indicate the amount to be paid and the rule that no refund was to be issued. She also was insisting that my satisfaction was guaranteed. Yet, she knew that I was not satisfied and that's what I expressed. When I insisted on canceling my subscription, she then forwarded me to a site in which a pdf form was to be filled out and sent to them. The response to the form takes at least a month, and it could be negative.

When I told the representative that I would place a complaint with the consumer affair, she asked me to wait a minute, then she wrote that in 5 to 10 days my refund would be issued to the credit card I used for payment. Until now, I have not seen any refund to my credit card. Am i the only person who who have this problem?

I registered and paid 150 for start my membership. I requested for a full-refund and completed all requirements to entitle to such refund. I was supposed to receive this refund in June 2010. I made many attempts to check on the status of the refund, but was given one reason after another. Now they says my bank should be the one to process the refund.

On June 5, 2010 my 15yr old son said at about 5:00am he was playing a game on the internet and a popup about swipebids keep poping up, so he clicked on it. He made an account in my name and used my debit card information to obtain the account. I found out that the website is a bidding site. I am totally disable and I pay most of my bill online thru my bank account. Everyday I will go to my bank account online. On June 5, 2010 in the morning when I went into my bank account I found out that my account was charged 150.00 from SwipeBids.com. I called the number that was attached to the charge and found out who swipebids was. I told them that they made an mistake billing my accoun and I don't know who swipebids was.

When Swipebids customer service gave me information about myself I start asking everybody in my house if anybody was online, my son confessed while the swipebids representative was on the telephone. I immediately told them to please cancell the account that sameday June 5, 2010. Swipebids representative gave me the information that my son used to open the account the the password, so that I could go to their chatline and download the refund form. I filled out the refund form about a month ago but I didn't recieved any respond from Swipebids.

On August 6, 2010 I decided to go to the chatline to find out about my request for my 150.00 refund. Mr. Ralph the supervisor talked to me thru the chat window stating that I'm not qualified for a refund of my money. I have four pages of chat conversation with Ralph and two page with Nadia. They all gave a bunch of round around. That company are thieves/fraud and they need to be stopped. I wonder if it was so easy for my 15 yr. old son to get an account how many more kids are bidding on this website. I want my money back even if I have to sue them and I want the company to be closed down so that they can not hurt anybody else. I'm sure that their are other people that's having problems with swipebids and if they are everybody who they defraud should file a class action. I need some help.

I went to visit mycentraljersey.com to look at graduation pictures. I immediately noticed an ad and clicked on it. Up came a TV news spot on penny bids at swipebids.com. Of course, it all sounded great. After trying to get more information, I decided to fill out the form and see what I had to do. The ad said, One year membership so I joined because, of course there was this big red .50 cents! After completeing the transaction, I noticed it was for 300 bids for 150.00! To my shock, I almost had a heart attack. I immediately clicked on live chat, because that is when I noticed no refunds.

I did copy my live chat with Falon, the person I spoke to. She said, no refunds, our papers were checked by lawyers. There is a" money back guarantee" There are so many restrictions on that ie. you must use all your bids without winning anything etc. They tell you to what you should do before you jump in like, bid on more bids. I'm sure they are probably being sold by their people, so you will never qualify for the "money back guarantee". I am copy and paseting my chat. I called immediately after I hit the button. They don't care. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges, but they said I have to wait until it shows up on my statement. The address I provided above for the company was at the end of the website terms of use. It says, The Site is an internet property of: Sphere Media, LLC.

As I said, I never would have agreed to 150.00 charge. I explained all of this. Right now, my husband is going through chemo for Prostate cancer that has resurfaced. I do not want his to find out about this because he has enough to stress about, as I do. I believe this site is misleading. You can contact me by email any time. I would appreciate no phone calls, but if necessary only on Monday evenings after 7:30pm.

I went on this sight that offers .50 bids, i saw a pc that i liked and there was only a small bid on it so as prompted i entered my debit number, when i got back to the bid the pc was sold so i left the site. The next day i'm told by my Bank that i was overdrawn and it was due to Swipebids taking it out.I called the company and was told by an agent that since i didn't stste that i didn't want to become a member they made the decision for me.I told them they didn't have the right but it fell on deaf ears.Since this has happened i found it has happened to many others.I'm on soc.sec.and this has put me in the red.I only thought that i would spend 20.00 at most that day.Never again i destroyed and canceled my card.

Dianne of Virginia Beach, VA June 16, 2010

Online bidding service charged my credit card every time I tried to close the window that asked for authorization to charge my credit card. I did not authorize 3 charges of 150 dollars, and I am fighting the fraud with my credit card company now. I hope something can be done to prevent this from happening again. I have 450 in charges on my credit card (within 15 minutes of giving my credit card information to authorize 75). My money is now held up until they process the bill.
