Patriot Auto Service Company will not stand behind his mechanic work or return phone calls to resolve after being paid. Kannapolis, North Carolina |

I have notified the mechanic on many occassions since June 17, 2011 about my transmission codes P1529 and P0734. He will not return my calls and he has not acknowledged the fact that it is his place to fix my car. He was paid in October 2010 to rebuild the transmission and he promised he would stand behind his work. He returned my car on October 22, 2010 from the first transmission rebuild and the transmission went back down in less than 8 weeks due to the P1529 and P0734 codes on December 11, 2010. He did not pick the car up from my home until December 21, 2010. He delivered my car back to me on January 16, 2011 and sent me a text from his cell phone stating, "Your car is home". He did not even speak with me about the car. Then I cleaned my car that very same day and found a gas receipt dated for December 28, 2010, which was paid for with his company credit/debit card.
I feel I have been very patient with all the work he has done to my car. It took his mechanic 3 attempts to repair the
code P0128 and I still have issues with the code. I have called the owner many times and he tells me to just drive it. He states it is nothing to worry about until time to get my car inspected. The mechanic replaced the thermostat, the bottom housing, and 2 temp sensors. I have even taken the car to the Hyundai dealership on January 27, 2011 to have the ECM flashed. Also, his mechanic turned my rotors, stating it will be fine to do that. I get the car back and the front axle comes
loose that very same evening and cracks the rotor on the passenger side, requiring me to purchase new rotors and a new front axle.
I have many questions in which he will not take the time to answer:
Did he actually have my transmission rebuilt in December 2010? If so, who is the person who done the work? I wish to speak with him/her about the work performed on my car, since he stated he took the transmission to Charlotte to have it redone. He stated the orignal mechanic did not do the second rebuild. I have the right as a customer to know who performed the transmission work on my vehicle.
Is he going to stand good with his promise and fix my car correctly? If not, I will contact the Better Business Bureau,
Channel 9 News, and retain a lawyer, if he can not adhere to the agreement in which he made in September 2010. I am requesting a full refund if he fails to comply to the agreement.
How long will he have my vehicle this time in order to fix my transmission? I can not do without my car for 4-5 weeks as he has been doing in the past.
When he had my exhaust off to get the transmission out, did he do any welding or adjusting to the exhaust system? Also, there is a bolt missing in my frame in the front end where he had the transmission out.
I just want my car fixed right or a complete refund of all work in which he has done on my car. That is all I ask from him. I have even done some research to try and help him. I have called and left mulitple messages with his wife for him to return my call and he does not return any of my calls. I have even sent him a letter by fax on June 23, 2011, due to his email at [email protected] does not work. I have called on the following dates 6/17, 6/20, 6/22, 6/24, 7/1, and 7/8, and he acts as though my transmission problems are not very important to him. I have only put 9,000 miles on this car since I have purchased it in September of 2010. I have every thing documented as you can very well tell below in this letter.
