Paramount Acceptance
Paramount Acceptance Collection Agency For (EFT- Fitness Trainers) Salt Lake City, Utah
5th of Apr, 2011 by User127323
My Personal Fitness Trainer account was referred to Paramount Acceptance nearly one year ago and up until 2 days ago, I was under the impression that I had paid it in full in September of 2011. The other evening, I received a call from someone claiming to be from a company called Allstate Adjusting. She advise me that my EFT Account was sent to them for collection. When I advised the customer service reprenstative that this account was paid in full, she advised me that it was not and that now, Allstate Adjusting was handling the collection of the remaining balance...stating that I still owed approximately $336.00. Annoyed by the fact that this representative threatened to report this debt to consumer credit reporting agencies, when I hung up I decided to call Paramount Acceptance to confirm that my account was paid in full. At that time the customer service representative advised me that my account was written off and was sent to a company called First Credit Services and they provided a telephone number for First Credit Services. I tried to find out more information from the Paramount Acceptance Representative regarding why my account was written off, if I was making payments, but I was told that they no longer had any of my account information on file as it was all sent to First Credit Services. When I called First Credit Services, I provided them with my account # and asked them to confirm that my account was paid. The representative advised me that they did not have that account in their system and therefore were not handling the collections for that account. I called back Paramount Acceptance and all they could tell me was that they referred the account to First Credit Service and again gave me the same phone # to contact them at. I cannot understand how a company can pass my account to another company and just completely wipe out all the pertinent data on my account from their system. I now cannot confirm whether the call I received the other evening from Allstate Adjusting is legitimate. I also have no way of proving that my account with Paramount was paid in full. I can prove by bank statements, that I made payments to Paramount Acceptance for my EFT account up through September 2010, but have no other paper trail or any record of account tranactions with Paramount Acceptance. This is a really piss-poor way for a company to do business. I made every effort on my behalf to fulfill my obligation in paying my debt and now this company has totally screwed me over and another company (Allstate Adjusting) is about to do the same thing. How do someone ever able to get their credit repaired, when there are companies out there that indiscriminately you over time and time again? I'm frankly tired of it. It sucks! I would like to warn other consumers not to fall into the trap of getting involved with any of the companies I mentioned in this report. Beware!
