On January 16, 2011 I ordered a free trial of Burn RX via the internet. It stated that if you call within the 14 day free trial period that a RMA number would be issued and the product could be returned and no charges would be billed. I received the product on Jan. 27th. After being warned by a friend that this could be a scam, I repeatedly called to cancel and get the RMA number. All I got was a recording. On Feb. 8th (still within the 14 days) I finally spoke with a representative to request the RMA number and return the unopened product. He stated that I did not read the fine print and that only 4 days are allowed for shipping so that because it took longer that that to receive the product I was outside of the 14 day window. My account was charged $79.95. Below is an exact copy of the "fine print" That was hidden in a separate section of the website. It does not provide a specific time alloted for shipping and does not state that you will only get a recording and be unable to cancel - I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau "When you order your 14–day risk–free trial of the BurnRX Weight Loss, you pay just $5.95 in shipping and processing. You will have 14 days to try the product. If you like how BurnRX helps you meet your weight loss goals, do nothing – you´ll be charged the discounted price of $79.95 at the end of your risk–free trial period. If for any reason you decide BurnRx are not for you, call Customer Care toll free at 1–800–603–2060 any time during your 14 day risk–free trial period to cancel. Then simply return the product (even if it is empty!) and you will NEVER be billed any additional amount. If you decide to keep the product, you will receive a fresh supply of the BurnRX approximately every 30 days at the same low price of $79.95, plus $5.95 for shipping. You can cancel anytime " |
