Nitrostang Racing Stole Parts for car and money made from parts Margate , Florida
2nd of Nov, 2011 by User972852
First I'd like to apologize to SSF and everyone else for my post last week. I was obviously angry at Jeff for stealing my money. Here is the real story and the post I put up last week... I know there will be a few people to defend Jeff and that’s fine but at least read and understand this is my side of the story. If you want to believe Jeff from Nitrostang Racing he will eventually get you and you’ll remember this post. I was introduced to Jeff from Nitrostang racing and told he worked for a very know shop here in Florida and quit to open his own shop. This was false and I won't mention that shops name as they are not fans of Jeff's either. I brought my CTS for a simple oil change; this should have been my first warning. While finishing the oil change he tightened the filter so tight that he broke the housing. He said this was not his fault; luckily I had a friend at Cadillac that was able to get it covered by my warranty. I bought a 93 Cobra from Big Ben for those of you that know him and the car you will know it was very well maintained and by no means a cheap car. Jeff had just replaced the clutch in the car, 4 days after I had it 3rd gear blew. Nothing else just in the clutch, just 3rd gear. I was doing about 45 mph with my son in the car so by no means can he blame it on me. He told me it would be about $300-$400 to fix. I asked if it would be better to just buy a new clutch, he said no. $1,700 later I had my car back. I found it strange that only 3rd gear would break on a clutch. Not being a mechanic myself I asked around and found out it was not my clutch but my transmission that needed to be fixed and for $1,700 i could have gotten a new one. Then I brought my 90 hatch to him to get looked at. I gave him $300 to look it over and tell me what was wrong. Almost a month later I went to his shop and realized he had done nothing. I asked him what was going on and he said he was too busy. I asked him for my $300 back and he said it was applied towards storage for keeping the car there for so long. I have a 2 car garage and a 10 car drive way, didn't exactly need storage Jeff but again with his empty promise to make it up. When I got the car home i realized a bunch of odds and ends missing from the car. I convinced myself not really knowing Jeff at the time that I was just being paranoid, why would he take these parts off my car. Now I know why... I then ordered about $1,200 worth of parts from Jeff, anyone that does business with Jeff knows he expects cash up front because he cannot afford to front any cost. I had no problem with this. 3 weeks later still no parts, not even the weather stripping that he said he had in the shop. I dropped off about $2,500 in parts for my 88 vert as well since that was my next project. This included my NEW top and glass back window. Jeff decided he needed money so he sold all of my parts. If anyone bought a vert top and glass window to go with it please mention it on this blogg. There were also some long tube headers, a cobra intake that I had powder coated black, again if you bought it please reply so to verify my story. Anyway the list goes on and in the end he has not even had the decency to give me the money he got from the sale of these parts. He spent about 2 months ignoring my calls and text, to avoid trouble I have not gone to his shop because I know it won't turn out well. I recently called him from a different number at my office and he answered and admitted he sold the parts and did not have the money. By the way Jeff, maybe you forgot I run a law firm so all of our calls are recorded... It may not stand up in court but it's a good thing we aren't in court. I told him to call me by that Friday and at least work out a payment plan with my to show good faith. My exact words, "even if it’s $10 a week just show me you aren't a thief" he said "thank you and I'll call you tomorrow" Can anyone take a guess what happen, nothing... He was too much of a coward to make a call and me a man to deal with his problems. In return I will gladly let everyone I can know about Jeff at Nitrostang Racing. I will post on every blogg and forum (responsibly) to warn everyone about Jeff form Nitrostang Racing and continue to do so until he has nothing left but the few people that don't mind buying stolen merchandise and garbage he fixes up from craigslist. If you have taken your car to him please take it to a real shop and have them look at his work. Thank you to Mustang Specialties for fixing all the BS Jeff screwed up on my Cobra. Only cost me an additional 8K because Jeff lied about the "NEW" parts he put on my car and the things he broke while fixing the other things he broke.
She's down at the Miami car show right now looking great...
