needly.com Fred Krueger, site administrator Did not pay me for merchandise I sent as requested to him Malibu, California
17th of Nov, 2010 by User480613
I was looking for a place such as Etsy to sell my jewelry that I am making by hand, but without the listing fees. I did a search and was directed to Needly.com as a site to sell things that did not charge a listing fee. The page showed many different items for sale, prices ranging from about $20 to $10,000 for an item. It self-described as being the "priceline for everything". I chose the about and terms pages, read them to be sure this sounded legitimate and decent, and found that I could sign in through Facebook, so I set up my page and began to post necklaces I had made on the site. Two days later, I had a message come to my e-mail saying Fred Krueger wanted to buy a certain necklace that I had listed for $18. I responded by inquiring again what I was supposed to do in the terms and about pages. It said that I was to check under credits, then get the address and make arrangements to send the item. I e-mailed him through the site requesting the address. After several days he had not responded, so I requested the address again, saying I did not want to lose the sale because I was unable to ship. Fred responded by sending me the address I have listed, and the website had already shown that they were holding the $18 for the item. I had listed it as including shipping, which would allow me to make about $5 on the transaction. I shipped the beaded necklace on October 15th, which cost me $6.55 including $.60 for delivery confirmation. I have a receipt for that as well as another necklace that I mailed to Long Island the same day, sold through a private sale. After shipping, I waited until Monday to begin checking for delivery confirmation, but it was Wednesday before it arrived at the post office in Malibu, and Thursday I saw that the package had been delivered on Thursday morning at 11:30am. I went back onto needly.com and saw that the item had not been confirmed as received, so I sent an e-mail and asked for the money to be sent and the receipt of the item to be confirmed. Fred answered and asked how much he should send me and then after I said just $18, he answered that he would send the check. A week later, the money had not arrived and the status had not changed on needly.com, but the necklace had disappeared from their site as soon as I had confirmed it had shipped, except on the credits page. There it said I had $18 to be released when receipt was confirmed by the buyer, and $1 sign-up bonus. About then, the needly site began to change in appearance. As of today, I have not received the money, and I had taken all my items for sale off the site last Friday, sending another e-mail saying that I felt that I had been ripped off and would no longer deal through the site. Today, I went back to the site through my bookmark, and it no longer shows any relation to Facebook, In fact, it claims to have 30%, 50% and 70% off designer items, and you need to apply for membership. Who is this guy that he can scam a person like myself who is not even working except for the necklaces and think he is OK doing it? Please stop him from doing this to others.
