I too was ripped off by Jacquie Lawson card services. I have had a 2 yr membership for more than a year now and for Easter, I sent a card to my sister and clicked on the gift to send her a two year membership. The website locked up right at the end before I was able to add any info for my sister's membership. I left it alone while I was doing something else and 5 minutes later, I came back to my PC and the site was gone. I thought perhaps it didn't work until the next day when I saw on my bank account that I was charged twice the $18 (total $36). My sister never received any information on the membership and when I looked at my Jacquie Lawson account, the Easter card was still in pending status. Even though I was double charged for the membership. Thank you ripoffreport.com for suggestions on how to fix this because my e-mails to the company were answered by "form" responses that made no sense whatsoever. I will go see my bank first thing tomorrow morning and will also call the BBB to report this company. I will file a fraud report with both companies (my bank and BBB). |

I have had nothing but pleasure from Jacquie Lawson in the 3 years that I have been a member, so all I can suggest is that there must be some mistake. Many of my friends also use her with no complaints so I do not believe that there is anything sinister going on here.
But I will check it out further and see if I can get to the bottom of this complaint as I want to continue to support her.

I cannot get anyone to help me at Jacquie Lawson. No phone number, no way to get help--only lists of problems that do not apply to me.
I bought five Advent Calendars online, paying additionally for them because they are not included in the membership. However, I could only send one because their website is so messed up, they didn't provide access to my address book on their website.
I just paid for a year's membership in November 2012, and I was only able to send two cards.I kept receiving a pop-up message to renew my membership, telling me it had expired in September 2012.
Either it is a deliberate scam, or they are so screwed up over there that they can't handle the overwhelming requests.
The cards are artistically beautiful, so it's a real shame that this company doesn't care about its customers! I'm really angry that they are robbing this grandmother (me) of precious dollars that I need not to waste on their ill-run company. |
