Then, all of a sudden there's an urgent problem with your order...you get emails requesting that you call the company right away. And you do. You don't get connected to "customer Service". You get connected to a well trained high pressure salesman. Who insists your camera ISN'T complete. It doesn't come with a battery and charger. REALLY? You don't have a chance to look at the ad on line. This one in his hand seems to be the LAST one. You need to make a quick decision before it's gone. The next thing you know, your $339 purchase with FREE SHIPPING is now $520. Wait. The receipt in the box has a total of $549.99.
Oh, yeah. They forgot to mention. $29.99 for "Shipping and Handling and Insurance". Go ahead and call them. Ask to speak to the manager. He'll read all the fine print that is now in front of you. You have 7 days to file a claim. Shipping is NOT refundable. There's a 15-25% restocking fee. If you are lucky, you can return the product and it will only have cost you $134.99 for the priviledge of doing business with these crooks. The amazing thing? This is the SECOND TIME I've been roped into this scam! I did it myself 7 years ago. This time, I referred my husband to them. The name's been changed (I wonder how many times?)... And I wonder what it takes to get them off the streets.
