Pacific Telecom Communications Group Universal Card Services Scamming telemarketers Los Angeles, California |
25th of May, 2011 by User408389 |
This company provides telephone services for two layers of hidden companies, that refuse to abide by federal regulations regarding telemarketing. They have refused to stop calling (though I am already on the do not call list). They have refused to provide any of their information as required by law when asked. They are calling with an autodialer, and have a number of hidden companies so that they can continue doing business. After contacting the Montana Secretary of State and Montana Department of Justice, I received the following information: ========== Thank you for your information. Over time, we have received several complaints like yours. Upon investigation, we have found that these 406 area code numbers belong to an unknown out-of-state company that purchased/leased the Montana phone number from a telemarketing company that purchased/leased it from a Los Angeles based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) named Pacific Telecom. The calls are not coming from Montana. Please see the three tiered call sequence below: 1. Pacific Telecom 2. A telemarketing company 3. The unknown out-of-state company which called you from (406) 8528377 You can see that the number originated with Pacific Telecom by viewing the link below: http://www.fonefinder.net/findome.php?npa=406&nxx=852&thoublock=8&usaquerytype=Search+by+Number&cityname We are advising consumers to file complaints against the known entity in this scheme, Pacific Telecom. Pacific Telecom's contact information is listed below: Pacific Telecom Communications Group ATTN: Steve Hamilton 12228 Venice Blvd Ste 559 Los Angeles CA 90066 You can report these harassing calls, file a complaint and/or direct all inquiries that are associated with Pacific Telecom to the Federal Trade Commission either by calling (877) 382-4357 or by visiting www.ftc.gov. ========== I have filed a complaint with the FTC and will be following up on it. They have called trying to sell many different things (credit card rate reductions, mortgages, etc). I will be doing everything I can to find out who this company is. Pacific Telecom is providing the phone numbers and hiding the companies. I believe they are involved with the company. |

Pacific Telecom Communications Group called with the number 406-351-4089
was informed by the f cc and ftc that when they get more than 20 reports they take action so every one call the FTC and FCC and complain about that company and the numbers they call from... |

When you call the FTC to file a complaint make sure you call or go web for donotcall government office, 888-382-1222 or donotcall.gov to further register complaints against Pac Tel Comm and Steve Hamilton. They also use 971-220-1017 to robodial. |

My complaint is about you people who complain about Pacific Telecom Communications Groups ("PTCG") and their alleged dialing practices. First PCTG is CLEC or Competitive Local Exchange Carrier. They are a phone company, like thousands of others across the country. They do no dialing whatsoever and are NOT Telemarketers. If you contacted them directly they would be able to contact their subscriber and add YOUR number to all of their customers internal "scrub lists" which would result in you no longer receiving unwanted calls from their subscribers. Complaining to the FTC may make you feel good but they can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about stopping the unwanted calls. Also, I bet you didn't know that even if you placed a particular number on the DNC that you still may have opted in to specific telemarketers. You may have even opted in to all telemarketers if you run a business out of your home or from your cellular device. There are at least 16 ways that consumers opt in to telemarketers, most of which the consumer is unaware of when it happens and the consumer is the one who affirmatively opted into the calls. As for the rest of you uninformed, bored, and unhappy people, making false statements of fact is called Defamation per se when against a business and maligns their reputation and statutory damages are available along with punitive damages to punish the behavior and help prevent its continued use. |

The posting by "Pacific Telecom" to call their customer service at 360-328-8000 Ext.2 is more telemarketer BS. No one answers or you get a recording to leave your name and number, yea, right! Try finding information about them at this so-called website, pacifictelecommunications.com, it can't be found. Evidently they along with their subscribers are all crooks. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and blocked them. When a reverse lookup is done on the number that called me (360-529-6177) and the black woman with the afinity for vulgarity who came on the line, it shows the carrier as Bandwidth.com. I contacted Bandwidth and they are no longer the carrrier for the number. They were able to look up the carrier as of today which is Pacific Telecommunications Group. FTC investigator was very happy to hear that this call was received on my cell which has been on NDNC for years. Now I'm gonna play the "waste their time" game when they call me again. This is going to be fun! |

I keep getting phone calls from 360 520-6175. I have traced this back through Eschelon, then to Integra and finally to Pacific Telecom Communications Group. When you go to http://www.pacifictelecommunications.com you will get: - Oops! Page Not Found Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found. So I did further research and found this information:
Hyan, Mark [email protected]
Pacific Telecom Communications Group
375 N. Stephanie Street
Suite 1411
Henderson, CA 89014
US
360-328-8000
(360)328-8001
I called 360-8000 and pressed 2. The customer service rep "Alan" was very helpful. He explained that the number 360 529-6175 is one of their numbers and it is a number that a subscriber has, who in turn has an end user that uses the number. He explained that he would notify the subscriber and have my phone number scrubbed from all this subscribers numbers. He said it would take 48 hours to do this.
If anyone follows this process and they still get phone calls from a subscriber after it has been requested to be scrubbed we then should all get together and have a lawyer file a class action suit against the subscriber and the subscribers end user. Pactel is not responsible for how the subscriber uses the numbers purchased. However the subscriber is responsible if they do not get your phone number scrubbed from the end user. These two businesses are the responsible parties. |
