North Hills Auto Mall Regis Mannke Lied about condition of vehicle Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania |
1st of Dec, 2010 by User473536 |
I purchased a vehicle from them in May 2009 for $4000 and was lied to about the condition and number of previous owners. I was told I was looking at a 2 owner vehicle and it was actually a 4 owner vehicle not including the 2 times it was bought and sold by dealers at an auto auction. I was also told that the vehicle had been on the lot for a "couple of weeks". That was a lie. I should have been more cognizant of the dry rotted tires. The vehicle title records showed the car had sat there almost 2 years. 6 months later the engine was shot and leaking oil everywhere. A car isnt built to sit. The seals rot and dry out. Regis also said that a 3/month 3,000 mile warranty was included in the price of the vehicle. Well after not hearing from the warranty company after 30 days I decided to contact them. They had no record of the vehicle. Regis had just decided to pocket the warranty money. I guess he figured the 3 months would go by and we wouldnt notice that he hadnt registered the vehicle with the company. I contacted Regis and he said he only sends the paperwork in once a month. That was BS and a lie. If something had happened to the vehicle in that 30 day period it wouldnt have been covered. He subsequently sent in the paperwork for the warranty. This also isnt the first time he has done this.. There is a civil complaint on record in Allegheny County. Records show someone he sold a car to had problems with their vehicle and when they contacted the warrany company they had no record of the vehicle. It is noted however that North Hills Auto Mall won that suit. I dont know how. I also don't know how they keep deleting my review on Yahoo.com. I am filing a complaint with Yahoo. Ive also noticed that other negative reviews there are also being deleted. Don't trust this company, they are very shady. |

Ive also bought a vehicle from north hills auto mall and have had nothing but trouble with this car since day 1. I wish I had investigated their company a little before I had purchased this car. Its been nothing but a nightmare. |

I had higher hopes for this dump when I first shopped their lot. Took our son to buy his first car and it was quite obvious the salesman was making up the prices as we toured the lot. We found a selection that our son was set on and I made the ultimate mistake of placing a deposit on the vehicle. People ... DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT put any deposits on any of these vehicles. Unfortunately our son found he could not come up with enough cash for the vehicle and could not make the purchase. We attempted to get our deposit back which I will say was established as non-refundable but we were told that the dealer REGIS MANNKE does not like to do business that way and would refund $400 out of $500, $100 needed for processing fees. Processing Fees my ###. If this character was concerned about the people shopping his lot he should have returned the full deposit and I would have probably shopped his lot in the future. No, REGIS MANNKE and his crew purposely made the $400 refund more difficult than necessary waiting two hours for a manager JIM to show up. I will not only never shop the dump again but I will make sure I can pass the message of their service to everyone possible. The cars on their website don't exist or the model years are not correct. Their CarFax BS was not only misrepresented but not available when asked for. Don't get scammed by this crew and let others you know to shop elsewhere.
Disrespectfully Scammed,
