I was looking for a heavy duty laptop mount for my 06 Hummer H3. I come across several items on eBay, national mounts caught my attention because they offer FREE upgraded oscillation swing-arm, & also state in big bold red font that this item will arrive at your door fully assembled!!. I called the company which has there phone number listed on there auction with a statement Questions? Call us direct at 561.623.0662 or 561.352.3982 I spoke with a gentlemen um which I did not get his name, I had some questions about if I was able to use this item with the passenger seat all the way forward, he replied that I could, he also made the statement if you order today, your item will be shipped today again that was a huge selling point. I placed my order right away, I did receive confirmation via email that my item has been ordered. I contacted the seller via eBay (contact seller) please see below. Sent Date: Jan-26-11 12:37:35 PST
Dear nationlmounts, Hello, I recently purchased one of your laptop mounts via eBay. I am contacting you with just a few of my concerns. I called you inquiring about the mount on Monday and told you I was thinking about buying one, you than told me that it would ship today Monday after paying for the item I got a response the following day saying the item was shipped on Tuesday not Monday as I was told over the phone, and I ordered the item while on the phone with national mounts. I emailed yesterday inquiring about tracking info, and iv still got no response. I am just a little concerned with the purchase so far, and hoping this gets resolved. Once again, can you please tell me if you offer tracking info????

We apologize for that however, we decided you would be more satisfied to receive your mount quicker rather than waiting for a restock in our Florida location...

As you can see my question was still unanswered, I than called the company via phone using the number they had listed on there auction. The unknown person answered the phone stating that he was sorry he must have deleted the tracking confirmation that was emailed to him prior to it making it to his computer, he stated he checked his email using his cell phone. He then asked me to remain on the phone while he contacted his other warehouse, he returned to my call, stated he would email me the tracking info, and I should have it within 30 min. I checked my email 2 hours latter only to notice that I had no email from seller. I then contacted the seller using the phone number listed on his auction, the same unknown person answered the phone and stated that he was still waiting on the tracking number. I questioned him on why he originally stated he would have this to me within 30 min, he then stated that that's not what I said, I said I would have it to you by the end of the day He then went on to say that he does not even have to provide me with tracking as his auction does not state the seller must provide buyer with tracking. I said your right, but when I called you via phone you gave me a verbal stating that you would provide me with tracking. I also reminded the seller that what I paid for was a fully assembled item, and your email to me stated that my mount will not be fully assembled because its being shipped out of there Chicago location. So what I paid for is not what I am getting. I only mentioned this because the seller stated that his auction did not state that he must provide the buyer with tracking info. This statement was only made to prove my point that he has not held up to his post on his auction. So why was providing me with tracking so hard for him to do, I mean he had already stated verbally that he would. The seller stated to me over the phone that he was going to cancel my order and contact UPS to have my item re-rout back to his location and hung up on me. I attempted to contact the seller several times via phone only for him to pick up and hang up. I was able to leave 3 voice mails with no returned phone call. I received an email from eBay as shown below.

We have assured to you that this transaction has been shipped and have also informed you regarding the "Fully Assembled" shipping that has been a Nationalmounts trademark for 5 years running. We understand you desire the tracking numbers and our representative had informed you they have made the request for it. As of this writing, we have been contacted by our Chicago Warehouse and was assured we would have that tracking number later on today. It is unfortunate that you have engaged in consumer abuse towards our representative and our company. Our standing policy remains to work with our customers at the highest levels of respect. We also follow the guidelines regarding consumer abuse.
We have also contacted UPS regarding this transaction and are currently awaiting there response as to whether we are able to re-route this package.
We will inform you of this decision by 8:00pm ET.
We will also inform you of our conversation with EBay regarding this matter within 48 business hours from this writing.

I would just like to this documented, and requesting you to please confirm that you did threaten to cancel this order. I submitted several emails over the past few days asking question about the shipping, you failed to answer the questions that I asked. I called you via phone and you stated the item was shipped, and you would provide me with tracking info, infect you asked me to stay on the phone until you got the tracking info, you then told me you would forward the email to me which you has not happened. I called back asking about the tracking and you then stated that you are not required to provide that info, however your item was described as fully assembled, and you then stated that it would not be, so yes you may not be required to proved that info, and that's fine, however when I asked you for the tracking you stated you would give it to me. I understand where your coming from, but if you did not want to proved me info, than I would except you just be up front and tell me that your not going to provide me with it, rather than saying you would. Now that you have threatened me with stopping the shipment, please refund my account in full right now so I can buy this item from a reliable source.-

well i guess that's fine, I don't feel that I did anything wrong by asking for tracking info, I attempted to ask several times if you offer tracking info and my emails went un-answered, there for I don't feel you value your customers, I then called requesting this info, and was told I would have tracking info, all I did was call back asking about this because I did not get the email I thought I would have had. When I called back I felt as if I was being told this is not something you have to provide me with, which is right it not, however when I asked for it, I was told yes i could have the tracking info, then your sales person told me that he would just cancel my order as if he did not want my Business, I had no problem in waiting for tracking or the package, but I don't take kind to be threatened when its my money on the line. So what I would like to know, have you canceled my order, I was really counting on this item prior to the weekend, I have placed my order for another item thou another company, however I need to know if yes you have canceled this item, or am I accepting or expecting this item to be delivered as it was?

As of this time, because we do not have them, we are unable to re-route the package, therefore you can expect the package to arrive on-time.

I did open a dispute with paypal and also requested refund in full, as the seller threatened to cancel my order and reroute item back to his location. The seller than provided me with tracking info as seen below. The seller requested that I cancel my dispute with paypal stating that I am taking money from him. - nationlmounts After tracking the item, it was not even shipped out until 3 days after paying for the item, and getting a verbal stating my item would be shipped the same day I placed my order, again that was a huge selling point, and added to the reason for my purchasing my item thru them. On January 31, 2010 I received this response from seller.

We are writing to inform you because of your decision to begin a dispute, we are contacting UPS to RE-ROUTE your package back to our location.
We no longer wish to do business with you.

- nationlmounts As you can see, I did not fell conferrable canceling my dispute with paypal, because the seller has made several threats to re-rout my package in which I paid for in full. I did purchases a new item from a more reliable source and received that item 1 day before this package arrived. I still have there package sitting in unopened box, awaiting response from seller to so I can return item for a full refund. There auction states the buyer will be responsible for return shipping, however the item was not sold as described, and the seller was the one who threatened me as he was going to withhold or re-route package, forcing me to buy from a more reliable source. I think that sums this up, and please do your research prior to buying from nationallounts. Please note in order to be in sales, you must have great communication skills in which nationalmount lacks!
