Rent A Center Harrassment, Illegal Contract Practices Rosedale, Maryland

In November 2010 my husband and I decided to rent a television fromtheRent-A-Center store here in Baltimore MD. Initially we were making our payments every week, then the manager at the store told us that we were set up to make payments bi-weekly. Once we started making the payments bi-weekly, this store has called and harrassed both of us everyday since. They have come to our house and pounded on our door to threaten to take the television, however our payments are not late and we are able to show all of our payments. They then told us that the policy at Rent-A-Center is to remind consumers everyday that they have a payment due, and if the payment is not made by 9a.m. on Saturdays, then they will come to our house. They then said not to make the payment online because there online system doesn't always work and instead come into the store and pay it. My husband and I realized that this store was charging us an additional $10.00 when we made the payment on the phone, but when we made it online there was not a fee. It appears as if they are pocketing a portion of the payment and harrassing us for the rest. This company needs to be shut down.
