Nathan A White |
Nathan A White Hudson White PLLC Fraud, Deception, Embezzlement of Funds, Internet |
17th of Jun, 2011 by User954012 |
Nathan White was assigned as the in-house attorney representing NSUK LLC, to deal with legal matters between this company and their worldwide client base, pertaining primarily to investments in Detroit US properties. NSUK is owned by Thomas White, who in turn is in partnership with Mark Demby a UK citizen. NSUK LLC were mismanaging and completely mishandling client's investment funds, refurbishment funds, property taxes and tenant incomes. They misappropriated funding of their clients, at best estimate, amounting to a sum in the region of $3,000,000. The exact whereabouts of all these 'misplaced' funds is currentlly unknown however, when clients of NSUK began to complain about missing funds, Nathan White was brought to the forefront and on 6th May 2011 he advised all the clients he had stepped in to take charge of the all the rental incomes through his own companys accounts (EF Hudson Realty LLC, under Premier Property Management Services) ostensibly and without any prior authorisation by claiming that he was "protect their investments". His letter of 6th May 2011 stated: "Our firm currently has possession of all rental proceeds collected and the funds have been placed in our trust account awaiting disbursement. In an attempt to facilitate an immediate and smooth transfer of property management services, this firm has retained Premier Property Management Services (Premier), a division of E.F. Hudson Realty LLC, to act as an interim property management company to provide the necessary property management services required for yourproperty. Those services include, but are not limited to, obtaining rental proceeds obtained or held by Section 8 Pros and forwarding those funds to you as the owner of the property as well as insuring that future rental proceeds are collected and forwarded to you in a timely manner." Prior to that date we, and numerous other investors have repeatedly attemted to retrieve their owed funds; all attempts have either been delayed or ignored by Nathan White and his associates. We most recently retained another US attorney to mediate with Nathan White in order to resolve this matter without fallout. This cost us additional time, stress and further significant loss of funds. Despite these attempts Nathan White failed to see any sense or move any way towards an agreement. In fact Nathan White, as the last self-proclaimed "protector" of hundreds of thousands of dollars of other people's money has now completely 'gone dark'. He fails to answer emails or answer telephone messages. We have advised him that unless he comes forward and returns our funds we will report him to the Michigan State Bar Attorney Grievance Commission. This we are now doing, whilst simultaneously exposing his actions to other unwary individuals. We are also seeking the interest of his the relevant government policing bodies of his other associates who would have great difficulty, given their close relationships, in denying knowledge if not complicity in his nefarious activities. He is a plausible and semi-intelligent man. He has himself listed as the advising attorney, if not a partner, in numerous Detroit based and web-based practices. There is no evidence to support the fact that any of them actually trade lawfully, despite Nathan White leading what would appear to be a more than double life as he invariably also poses as fine upstanding citizen and amongst his credentials lays claim to being: a member of the Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc, the Vice President and General Counsel of HodgePodge Solutions, responsible for managing all of the company's legal affairs including regulatory filings and disclosure, corporate governance, human resources and benefits, intellectual property rights, litigation and environmental compliance. Mr. White has advised and served as general counsel for several multi-national companies as well many small and medium-sized Michigan-based companies. He is well-versed in the areas of family law, estate planning, commercial and residential real estate, civil litigation at the appellate level and corporate counsel related issues. Mr. White was a supervising attorney at the Free Legal Aid Clinic, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan. He was responsible for teaching family law, in a clinical setting, to Wayne State University Law School students. Mr. White has lectured extensively on issues involving family law, real estate, municipal tax issues and corporate matters. In addition to his role as an attorney, Mr. White serves on the Board of Directors at Honor Flight Michigan, Inc. and is the Chairman of the Alumni Board of Directors for the Free Legal Aid Clinic, Inc. He walks amongst you; do not trust him, ever. |

Hey 'Mysteriousmissy' you seem reluctant to disclose any of your true involvement; forgive my cynicism but you seem to be fishing quite a lot and avoiding input.
What exactly is your experience/connection with this outfit?
At the moment you read like you are on the inside. A bit like 'Detroitinvestor' so clearly is. |
|
|
A press release full of the same bull; credible if you're still in kindergarten. Notably not followed up by any of the seriously backdated rental monies owed!
So obviously no improvement, just 'good old Nate' with more of his spiel. He obviously has a Walter Mitty complex and is still deep in denial of any wrong doing. At my best guess him and his NSUK/Assetz cronies have come away with at least $25, 000 clear scam money on each of our properties so far.
So, Mysteriousmissy', a lot of questions and yet noticeably no input explaining exactly which side of the fence you are on.
My natural cynicism puts you in the same box as 'Detroitinvestor' (as clearly was the case), and therefore on the inside of this scam until you disclose some of your real experiences/imvolvements with this bunch of crooks; open to be proved wrong.
Also had quite a few other scammers trying to breed of this kind of stuff before; so come clean. So, can you produce here? |
|
|
Hey Mysteriousmissy, why not disclose your involvement.experiences here first. You seem a little reluctant to so far and I'm reading you like 'Detroitinvestor', an insider at the moment.
The PPMS is same old same old bull...old Nate is still on the strong denial juice, and notable NOT forthcoming woith any serious back rents owed
So no improvement or change there.
Can you produce here 'Mysteriousmissy'? |

I dont know if I can put this on here.
But I think it is totall bullshit and lies, I think that the report was just written to make it look like they
are doing something !
It says that NSUK are repairing house, at there own expense !
But hey did they not actually get the money to do this included in the sale price, as it states in the contract
And NO money has appeared for anyone |
|
|
the press realease is total nonsense
and should not be believed, in any shape or form
It says that NSUK are reapiring houses using there own money
But hey did they not actually get paid to do that in the first place when clients bought there property
so what happenned to that money
I ahve been trying to find out if we actually own these properties and am getting nowhere except transfer
affadavits which dont actually say we own them |

I'm just an investor with no particular axe to grind either way. However, although the rental stream has been a bit up and down, I do not beleive that certainly Mark Demby is at fault. Although I live in the UK (in London), I have travelled to Detriot several times over the past nearly 2 years. During that time, I have bought 6 houses, but during this time one had to be returned to the bank because it had serious structural issues. Because I raised my concerns at the time Mark refunded $10, 000 to me into our UK bank account. In addition because one of our houses was broken into after it had been refurbished, Mark paid me the expected gross rental income for 6 months, and he paid to have to refurbished again himself. So if Mark is a conman as seems to be inferred here, he's an unusual one. I haven't had as much to do with Nathan, although I have met him and his partner Eddie in May when I was last there. We discussed the rental payments that could easily be assigned to me and the next day Eddie wrote out the cheques - again gross amounts for quickness. I paid them into my bank account immediately and I'm here to tell you, they didn't bounce. I can't speak for others obviously, however these are my experiences. It hasn't been a smooth ride, but during it all, I have always felt Mark was doing his best for the investors. Yes he's trying to make money out of us, he's in business to do just that. Maybe I'm naive or haven't been as unlucky as the others who have left messages here before me, but these are genuinely my experiences. |

Guys, I'm an independent UK based investor. I've dealt with Mark Demby & NSUK LLC for nearly 2 years now. In that time I have bought 5 houses with Mark in Detriot. During this time there have been a number of occassions when things haven't gone as I had hoped, however on each occassion Mark has stood by his part of the deal. When a house had to be returned to the bank due to unforeseen structural problems, Mark refunded $10, 000 to me. When on a different occassion a house that had just been refurbished was broken into, Mark not only paid for the refurbishment himself he also paid me the $800 per month (the anticipated rental income), until the hose was rented to a tenant. Now I don't know about you, but if Mark is a conman as you all seem to think he is, he is quite an unusal one I think you would have agree. I have only met Nathan and his partner Eddie once, in May when I was last in Detriot. After a short discussion, we agreed how much rent I was owed since PPMS had been managing the houses, and they wrote out two cheques, one for each rented house, for the full gross rental amounts. I paid them in immediately (because I was there), and both of them cleared without a hitch. Try working with people, not against them, and you may well find you have a more successful outcome. |

I'd like to hear from anyone who bought NSUK houses in Detroit through Assetz in the UK. You can contact me at [email protected]
We bought a year ago and have no tenants yet.
Has anyone been to Detroit recently to see their properties? |
|
|
We have had untold difficulties since we bought several properties from NSUK last year. Mark Demby and NSUK have been at the root of these problems and we now have now idea what state our houses are in. We have no tenants.
I'm surprised though, why is everybody mad at Nathan White instead of being mad at Mark Demby and NSUK? |

It's quite unfortunate this situation. As 'Mee' stated, there are some groups in the Detroit area that do deliver quality product, with warranty deeds, title insurance, pre-paid taxes, and closing costs. Some even provide video walk thrus of the property before close, along with before and after photos.
It is imperative that one does his thorough research to ensure that he is dealing with a reputable firm. I strongly advise that a trip be made to see the product that the company is producing as well as 'interviewing' the property management company that will be in place as well.
Detroit is an excellent place for investing as there are many advancements taking place. Please do not be deterred from investing here. When done correctly, buying investment property in the city can be profitable.
There are more companies doing the wrong things, trying to make a quick buck than there are companies doing the right thing. Take your time, conduct thorough research, and most importantly trust your gut. |

If there is anybody out there taking legal action against NSUK or anybodY else in relation to the appalling scam selling Detroit properties, pleaSe get in touch with me asap as I would like to join forces. A group action would be stronger and less expensive. My email is [email protected]
I have been completely ripped of by these thieves and wish to do something about it.

Strange how NSUK and PPMS are listed at the same address.
Is Tom Smith at PPMS? |
|
|
What about that UK company offering a solid investment programme with these crooks, Assetz! What is their response to all of this? Nothing. "We did our diligence"; yeah right, what you mean is that you took your commissions and ran. |

If anyone is interested in contributing to an ongoing US (local to Detroit) press investigation into the Mark Demby/NSUK/Tom Smith fiasco, please contact the journalist below: -
His name is Louis Aguilar if you want to contact him, use [email protected] or call 001 313 222 2760
We bought 2 properties almost 2 years ago and neither has been rehabbed or tenanted by NSUK since day 1.
We cannot sell, as there is no market at anywhere near the prices we paid - apx $50k each.
We have either been told lies, charged for work that didn't need to be done, ripped off, or generally taken complete advantage of to varying degrees by NSUK, Tom Smith, Mark Demby, PPMS, Section 8 Pro's, and other Detroit Management companies (who think that because we are on the other side of the world that we will never find out what they are up to -NOT SO, my friends!)
Assetz have so far done very little but make either promises or threats - promises that are either empty, diluted, put back ...and put back...or else threats such as If you do do that, we will do/not do this...or this...
The police have decided not to press charges in the UK as they say that the majority of this problem derives from the States. The US police Dept have not answered my original complaint from many months ago.
Assetz say that they cannot pursue legal action in the States, despite their promise to do so, because we - the ripped off clients! - can't afford to co fund the litigation. Hello? Personally, I'm already $100, 000 out of pocket... |
