My Gynecologist My GYN Pregnancy Danger with ill compassionate staff & DR Spring Hill, Florida |
25th of Aug, 2011 by User599791 |
I was an existing patient of this office. After taking 3 at home pregnancy tests that came back positive, I called to make an appointment to know for sure; They scheduled the appointment almost 4 weeks out. I started having severe cramping four days before I was supposed to go in for my appointment so I called, explained my issue and asked to be seen sooner; They had three open appointments for the following day; I took the earliest appointment. When I arrived, my bent debit card could not be read by their machine to pay my small ($30) copay; I went to the ATM, withdraw the cash for copayment & came back. With half the day remaining, they refused to see me. I told them I would find a different DR then, one with more compassion. A member of their staff called me the two days later, apologized for the confusion and asked me to come back in that day and giving them the benefit of the doubt (perhaps it was just the one support worker) I did, (2nd time taking off work I should mention). Now, as of my second appointment, the staff has been informed twice that I'm pregnant and having severe cramping. I go in for the second appointment and THE DR KNOWS NOTHING OF THE PREGNANCY; nothing in the notes at all. He first says he's going to check my cervix and get an ultrasound done that day. Well he checks my cervix & then says, "It's 5PM & we can't do an ultrasound & that's the only way to know for sure if the baby is ok." He tells me that there are some places that could probably do an ultrasound on Saturday but gives me no referral or reference when asked. Before he leaves the room & he turns & says "I wouldn't be too worried." Really? Then, in all the grace I had left, I tried to make another appointment just for the ultrasound. The DR puts in the notes to schedule my initial OB appointment as well in one week. The staff then tries to make my much needed ultrasound appointment one week away as well so they can cram the appointments together. When I asked if there was an earlier appointment available, the support staff says "And when did the DR tell you to have an ultrasound? The OB appointment, he says to schedule one week from today." I had to say, and quote "I need an ultra as soon as possible; I'm carrying a baby & I need to know if it's ok". After dealing with multiple ill equipped, ill compassionate support staff and an uncaring DR, I'm finished with this office & so are my 4 girlfriends who USED to be patients. Worst Experience EVER! |
