In April, 2011, I test-drove a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, at Morrie's Brooklyn Park Subaru/Nissan. The vehicle was attractive and handled very well; the only issue was a rather disgusting 'wet-dog' smell in the vehicle. I was assured by the Salesman, Robert White, this odor would be eliminated by the time I arrived to pick up the vehicle, and that the vehicle would smell like 'brand new'. hwen I arrived to get the vehicle, there was a strong 'orange' smell in the vehicle. Mr. White told me that was just the final stage of the cleaning process, and that when it wore off in 'a day or two', the car would smell like 'brand new'. Mr. White knew I had been working out of state, and that I had to go back out of state the next day. My wife called me late the next day and said the 'wet-dog' smell in the car was back, stronger than ever. Morrie's, after my pushing them, twice tried to eliminate this smell. I was told by TWO people at Morrie's the car had that smell because 'the owner's son had used the vehicle to bring his dogs back and forth from his cabin'. Morrie's own employees have called the smell 'disgusting' and 'unbelievable'. Morrie's has admitted the smell cannot be gotten out of this vehicle. So Morrie's lied to me to get me to buy the vehicle; this would be misrepresentation, at the least. Morrie's has repeatedly offered to find me a replacement vehicle of similar quality, but to this point has only tried to get me to buy a new vehicle (for more money) and at the same time screw me on the 'trade-in' of a vehicle that should not have been sold in the first place. Oh, they did give me a can of the orange spray, and told me to try and get the smell out myself. What a joke. I thought Morrie's was better than 'just a sleazy car dealer', but in the end, that is all they are. They have had FOUR MONTHS to make this right, but they have done nothing. Carter Doolittle is the General Manager there, and he pretended to care. Really insulting. They now have a complaint with the MN BBB, and the MN Attorney General's Office, to deal with. I told them all this was coming if they didn't do the right thing - and they chose to bring this upon themselves. What are they going to do - sue me?

If you ever need body repair done to your car, do not go to Morrie's Brooklyn Park Nissan/Subaru's bodyshop. The General Manager Carter Doolittle and Bodysyhop Manager Jeremy Smida will make promises to you but later they will do exactly the opposite when you pick up the car. They will not follow their word!

My new 2011 Subaru was hit by a drunk driver. The whole left side of the car was scratched/dented. Horrible work done by Morrie's Bodyworks! The bodyshop manager Jeremy Smida and his boss Carter Doolittle (General Manager of Morrie's Brooklyn Park Subaru and Nissan) refused to acknowledge their shoddy work. They gave me the runarounds many times in the past 4 months but would never take any actions towards any re-work!! Completely crooks.

1. After the paint work, the hood and the front bumper are yellower/darker than the original paint on the right fender. In fact, the whole left side of the car is yellower/darker than the original right side.
2. Front new bumper paint line was done horribly. The body shop manager later put down jagged black tar-looking paint to cover the extra white paint which was not supposed to be put there during the repair. The black paint already started to flake off on the second day.
3. The body shop caused a new damage to my rear bumper corner. The body shop manager Jeremy denies it.
4. New scratches were done to the paint in my car door during repair.

There were other new scratches done to my car, although Jeremy Smida reluctantly fixed them after arguing with me.

The body shop has had multiple manager changes in the recent years. They have absolutely no respect for customers and quality. Not only will they not rework on their shoddy work, they also make additional new scratches/dings! When I refused to pick up my car once I saw the shoddy work, Jeremy Smida called the cops on me. Thankfully, cops came and was on my side because they saw the shoddy work too.

In May before I left for my vacation, Carter Doolittle asked me to get an estimate from another bodyshop to repaint my car. I brought him the estimated cost. After I came back from my vacation, Carter changed his mind and said he would not do anything to alleviate the damage.

In summary, after visiting with Carter Doolittle for at least 5 times in the past 4 months in his office, he basic refuses to offer any rework --- like his name says --- Carter Does Little.

Carter Doolittle also threatens to take legal action against me if I let other people in Minnesota know how they treated me. He had an attorney to send a letter to tell me to shut up. Wow.

I am having my car repaired --- out my own pocket. Cost me $4, 500 to fix the shoddy work done by them. Nice huh??
