So let's see, I drive to the Keys from New Jersey, pay every "Sun-Toll" both I go through with cash, get home and 4 months later get mail saying I owe them $6.60.
What about the cash I paid for the tolls when I went through them?
Also, the notice states I got it because I " Traveled through an MDX toll zone without having a valid pre-paid account".
Umm, I LIVE in NEW JERSEY! Why on earth would I have a prepaid account to drive in Miami?
What about visitors who drive through Miami?
This is an outright SCAM! |

I have had Sunpass for the past 3 years. Not really paying attention to my account I did not notice that they take out 20 dollars for each of my vehicles (3) every month. Now Im starting to get Pay by toll invoices. There is no way for anyone to track when you go threw a toll and how much tolls you have paid in the month. MDX does not have a login for any of its users so that you can see if you are reallying paying that much in tolls or track your spending.
The hard thing about this is no matter if you can prove that they are pulling out the money from your account, and erroneously sent you an invoice. They say its not their fault and you still have to pay the so call violation. This is just a typical Florida government robbery. The consumer is never correct even with proof cause the system is always on the criminals side which just happens to be a government highways program.
I will no longer use any road provided by MDX. I rather spend more money on gas and know how much I am being robbed and control my consumption of gas then be robbed and not able to do anything about it. This country continues to fall to shit thanks to our governmet. There is no one to help the average consumers.

I am disgusted with this company. I have gotten two separate bills from them without ever having been in Florida in a vehicle that was registered in my name. I live in South Carolina. The car in the picture on the bill is clearly not mine, and all they do is tell me to file a complaint to their company, gee till the next time I get a bill ?, Duh!!! |

This same incident has happened twice on two different occasions. I get a first time bill, the only one I know of that came in the mail, a bill saying that I have late fees. I call them to resolve it and they say that they already sent out a first letter and it has been months late. Has this happened to anyone else...only have receiving one bill with already accrued late fees. I also had an active sunpass transponder in my car at the time???? |
