Right Toyota Fraudulant scemes, deceptive practices, scamming . . . Phoenix, Arizona |

Daughter who is 23 went in to look at used cars at Right Toyota in Scottsdale. They did not have any used vehicles that were of interest, pricing was off and they weren't very nice. We told the sales person that we were going to check out other cars that we probably were not going to buy this day. He got a sales manager Jason to assist us. Jason ask why we would want to buy a used car anyway and that he would pull her credit and get her in to a lease on a new Corolla. I did ask him how he was going to fo that because she does not have bad credit, just not a lot because she is young and a student. That we wanted to go look at other cars. After looking at my daugher's credit, he said no problem we can get her in to a lease for $369.00 per month. That if I cosigned the price would drop to $290.00 per mo. Toyota has several tiers and she would be in the 2nd or 3rd tier, not a big deal the payment is a little higher. I told him no cosignor and was he sure he could get her financed on her own. She did own another car that was being paid off, but it was reflecting that money was still owing on it. I told him that I knew how dealerships work, send you out the door, change the terms later or can't get the financing on the amount that would be borrowed. I have seen this time and time again. Jason informed us that while other dealerships do that Right Toyota would not allow you to leave with a car they thought they could not obtain financing on. Well on Tuesday my daughter get a call advising that they need a cosignor because her credit score was lower than Toyota wanted, which they knew going in to the deal. They had all her financial information and credit score. They told her just get a cosignor, which was what they were pushing the whole time, even though I said no. They had her drive the car off the lot, lied about the financing, so that she would fall in love with it knowing the whole time the deal was not going to go through without a cosignor. They are nice to you until you purchase the car then they are extremely rude and nasty. The finance guy was making fun of my daughter, which I found to be of low standards considering the position he is in. He could hardly speak and they would only give out initials instead of their whole name. The manager I spoke with was JD with no last name and the finance guy that I spoke with was JJ with no last nam, weird. Their practices are manipulative, extremely deceptive, wasting everyone time, fraudulant scemes, and breach of contract. while causing huge amounts of emotional distress and embarrassment. I highly recommend that you stay away from this dealership. I didn't trust them at first because they would not allow us to leave. I gave them a chance to do what they said they were going to do and it turned out to be a nightmare. When I ask JJ about returning my $2,200.00 deposit when we bring the car back, he said probably - ok. I can't believe the state of Arizona still allows this kind of activity to go on. I was more than happy to pickup the car upon approval that is what is really bad about the whole thing - they should be taught how to do business and shut down for deceptive practices. No other business in the US can conduct themselves like this and continue in business. Dealerships get away with whatever they want and no one give them so much as a hand slap!! |
