This post is to warned the public to take extra careful of those corrupt custom official and staff of window 124 of the Manila Central Post Office. They know nothing but cheating people hard earn money. SHAME TO WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO YOUR FELLOW PEOPLE.

tnx, ryt now ala n kong magawa pa, kundi to w8 for the next package na darating, dapat dumating na ung ngaun e, pero maybe hinold nila para matagalan, i paid for the first one pala, binabaan nila ng 1, 000.00 my sis triesd to bribe him, pero sabi ng kotong customs officer, na pano daw yan, e sia daw ung mag-aabono ng kulang kapag 400 lng bigay namin, kuno. nagmamalinis.
anyway, we got the receipt pero walang details about my package except for my name and charges nila sa kin, but it took the customs officer too lng para lng magsulat ng recibo sa loob pa ng kanyang office, later narealized ko na baka, di lahat ng 3 copies of receipt (one white, blue and pink) have thesame content. pero di ko nacheck before ko napirmahan, anyway theres still the 2nd package...btw, he gave me the pink receipt, db dapat ung puti?? and nakalagay para don sa slip sa baba, ay if over $25 ung package na babayaran ay magchacharge cila na 2 pesos for the document stamp.
wth?!!! 2 pesos lng? e ung charge sakin e 265 for the document stamp. |

| hi there! once your face is familiar to the post office and customs people, they will be asking you questions and next time you claim your package, theyre gonna ask you to open it infront of them to check whether youre telling the truth or not. when that happens, your Php 35.00 normal charging fee will be thousands of pesos. Despite that it is declared as a gift or has a declare value of US$50 or less, they're gonna try sucking you inevitable amount for the package. |

Wer u able to watch the undercover bust that XXX (imbestigador's counterpart at chan2) did to the postal office in manila ?
I have several items that I pick up in our postal office (also las pinas)mostly items that i buy from ebay.com
First was an oakley prescription glass - they charged me Php1800 for taxes and duties. After a "friendly conversation" the custom officer told me that she'll gve me a discnt, so from 1800 it was reduced to 500 (w/o OR of course).
Second parcel that I claimed was a ring, declared as a gift. Taxes and duties Php 2, 200. Discounted price Php 800.
SO after the bust that XXX made, i thought that the postal office will be more strict and wld play by the book.
3rd parcel came, a set of tiffany jewelry - after paying my P35 for the postal exp. The customs officer (yep she's also the same person being scrutinzed in the XXX bust ) proceeded on checking my item, after asking me about the declared value, I thought OH my here goes my TAX charges - when i was about to get my wallet she handed a paper to me, then said "basahin nyo nalang yang reminders, ok na to" Then the postal officer gave my package. I left with a BIG ? on my face, then realized that oooohhhhh the XXX bust!!!
I guess they learned their lesson -- the hard way! So if your postal office was corrupted before? TRY making a complaint to Imbestigador, isumbong mo kay Tulfo or XXX.
Or try making a conversation with someone and talk about the Las Pinas bust (juz make sure they can hear you hehe!)
