Logo Design Guru LogoGuru LOGOGURU SCAM - VIOLATING THEIR OWN TERMS Langhorne, Pennsylvania
8th of Dec, 2010 by User393046
Having a bad experience from start to the end as one of the former designers of logodesignguru.com is something someone should explode off. This is one HELL of a thing I want to share since I don't want anyone else to experience what I have experienced. Logoguru.com/Logodesignguru.com/mycroburst.com might be some big stuff, claiming that they're featured at the Wall Street Journal for good customer service. Well I've no interest with that, as per my experience, they suck at customer support, like REALLY SUCK! With the first project/contest I've won, the HassleFreeMove ( http://orders.logodesignguru.com/contests/HassleFreeMove ), they didn't send the files to the client for a week, and I have to act as a customer support on their behalf and apologize for the delay because you'll have to wait for AGES before you get a response from them or nothing at all, they'll just left you hanging and waiting for nothing. And that's what they called good customer service. And when I finally got a response from them, I didn't even get a thanks or apologies whatsoever. They just said that they've already forwarded the files to the client. NICE! Not long after I've requested them to remove my account and take down all my entries including the ones in locked projects as there's no way for me to withdraw them, not unless the project holder will re-open the contest. They sent me a confirmation that my account was already deactivated. I said to myself, that's GOOD, now I can move on and reuse my drafts to a MORE RELIABLE website. After a few days. I received an email stating that I've won a contest. And how did I won a contest with no account and no entries? Weird, don't you think? So I emailed them, that I don't know which contest it is, no way for me to provide them the final files, I also pointed out that I did requested them to take down all my entries. They just never listen to you at all. All they care about is getting their share of 10% for all the winning designs, period. When I received a response from them days later, I found out that it was the Will Ferguson & Associates project ( http://orders.logodesignguru.com/contests/law-firm-logo-project ), a guaranteed project of $500. And they said they'd guide me accordingly since I had my account deactivated already. Along with the email was the change request from the client to add a tagline below the logo. So, I did what was asked and provided them two drafts for the Project holder to choose from. When I received a response back from them, they said that the client chose option1 and told me to send the final files for that draft. Again, I did what was told. After I sent the source files, I emailed and informed them that it was sent already. And what did I get next? NOTHING, no response at all. I was left hanging for ten days, with nothing. And that's what they called GUIDANCE. COOL and Brilliant customer support! And so I sent them a message to send the payment after 10 days of waiting for nothing, and the response that I got is to request me to be patient as they're waiting for an approval from the client. What the hell! It's more than two weeks now and it's a GUARANTEED PROJECT! And as per their terms of service: If the contest holder does not invoke any design issues/copyright infringement/or any applicable disagreement within 48 hours after the finalized source files are sent to the contest holder, all payments are made to designer's paypal ID, as scheduled. REALLY GOOD. A company violating their own terms. Well, I don't want to keep on waiting for nothing!. They can keep their $500, but to the Will Ferguson & Associates Logo Design Project Holder. Sorry, but you're not allowed to use my artwork! Read my story here: http://designerslounge.blogspot.com/2010/12/logoguru-scam-huge-leech

I feel ya man! I got a tweet (or IM - can't remember) saying he's starting a logo gig at this place for $450. So I sign up, create a killer logo and he chooses me. I jump through the hoops, create the formats he requested and they send him the files. HE's using my files and a month later I've still not been paid. They say it's a matter of security. What security... he paid them, they gave him my files, they should take their cut and pay the service provider.

The guy had the balls to tell me he couldn't divulge any reasons for this so-called "security issue". What a scam this place is.
