This company sent me incorrect merchandise. According to their website, you have just three days to return the products for an exchange. I emailed stating what happened and advising that items would be returned. I asked for the items I really ordered to please be expedited (I was ordering hair extensions for a wedding in which I would be participating). Responding email from company flatly told me to read their policies - nothing more. No apology, no offer to work with me to get correct merchandise, etc. I actually did not mail the return for a week due to a postal holiday that fell on the only day of the week that I can get out of my office to run errands. About a week and a half after the USPS tracking number showed that items had been returned to International Wigs, I emailed requesting information since their website showed no status update to my order, I had no refund or merchandise to show for the item. I received no response. After five days of waiting, I called their phone number. The phone number is answered by voicemail and states that it is only for phone orders. At this point, I became very frustrated and threatened to contact my credit card company and file a report for my money back. I emailed them again. This time they responded. The response was angry. I was chastised for leaving a threatening message on their voicemail! Several other emails ensued from both myself and International Wig. My main goal being to work out the issue at hand and get a tracking number for the replacement merchandise, theirs to insult me and lie. In the end, I finally received my merchandise... but I had to work for it. It was difficult to keep calm during the entire process because the owner/sales department seems to enjoy abusive communication. It went something like this: (Me) May I please have the tracking number for the replacement merchandise? (Int'l Wig) You are unreal! You must really be an idiot. Don't order from here again! (add no use of proper grammar and punctuation). I would advise that consumers should just be aware that this company seems to have a true disregard for proper business etiquette, and enjoy insulting their customers. This is not the treatment you expect when you spend hard-earned money with a company. Moving forward, I will stick to online companies that I know and trust, like Amazon. It is unfortunate for struggling small business owners, but this company would make any consumer weary of the odd maverick merchant out there. Two weeks after the issue has been resolved, my email address has been registered with several elicit websites which I have to report as spam on a daily basis. |
