Anthony D. Brown of Landscape Time ripped us off big time in Kent, Wa. He promised us all this great work would be done on our yard.
He is an african american man, early 50's, wears a helmet and rides a bike. He has no tools and will tell you that you need to give him water when he's thirsty. He is smooth, he will look you in the eyes, and lie to you.
He appears to work hard at first. Then he makes excuses to leave. He will have some sob story about some bill that's over due, or his wife of 25 years (ex wife or just his kids Mom who wants nothing to do with him) and kids have no food. Before we knew it he was here less and less, promising to bring a few friends back to get a yard done.
After 4-5 days he was paid the full amount he charged us. Then he came to the door and insisted he needed tax money. It was not included in what he said the final total would be. Not only that, he would not be working on a yard that day. He was so 'blessed' he got a big job for one of our neighbors Moms in Federal Way. Lie! My neighbor saw him working in the next neighborhood at her friends house. She asked him why he wasn't working on our yard. He told her we said we wouldn't be home til 5pm. Lie. I made sure I was home all day for him.
We talked to his ex, we wrote letters to him, left messages, confronted him at a few chance encounters. The best we got was "My bad. You just don't know whats going on, my daughters going deaf, and stuffs happening." We saw him arrested for shop lifting.
It makes me mad every time a see him biking around trying to scam other neighbors. If you have hired him, do not pay a penny until he is completely done, and he has done a good job!!
