Limebarb - Barbara Staples Lemonbrat sent two fake tracking numbers and delivered horrible quality merchandise, 7 months after missed deadline. Chica |

My friend and I were planning to cosplay The Great Saiyaman I and II for Animazement 13. He was also in need of a top hat and mask for his Tuxedo Mask cosplay. We decided to commission Limebarb to make these items to see if they were true to their image, they weren’t. I ordered in August of 2009 for the hat and mask to be delivered before Halloween, which they guaranteed. They sent an e-mail on October 22 stating the items would be sent the next day and gave me a tracking number for USPS. The tracking number they gave me never worked so I sent another email. I received an automated email reply several times until they finally replied December 18. She responded by saying it was shipped out a while ago and must of gotten lost in the mail, but she would replace it since she still had enough material, then gave me another tracking number. > From: limebarb.com > Subject: Re: Commission Arrival Date > To: "Keila" > Date: Friday, December 18, 2009, 2:45 PM > > Hi! I started emailing them every few weeks after that and only received automatic emails which said someone would responded to my email in three days. I finally filled a report with paypal, I knew it was too late but I did it anyways. I decided just to take the lost and move on. (Finally Email) From: limebarb.com Subject: Tuxedo Mask To: "Keila" Date: Thursday, January 28, 2010 11:30 AM Hello Keila, I expect to be shipping everything by the beginning of next week. I’m very very sorry about the delay. We have a business obligation this weekend and will be unable to make it into the office. I just wanted to email and give you a heads up that email response may be a little slowed, and to let you know that I will be shipping asap. limebarb.com Keila wrote: > I've already sent a similar email two weeks ago and I have yet to receive a reply besides the automatic email. I've never had problems buying online before, my ebay account can attest to that. I think I've been extremely patient considering the hat and mask was suppose to be in my hands before Halloween. You've lied about sending me pictures, both tracking codes do not work, and yet I received the holiday card you sent. I really wanted to commission you for several full cosplays but my faith is lacking. Please just send me my order, I'm tried of playing this game. > In late March 2010, I received a package from them; they had actually sent my order after I complained to paypal. Unfortunately the headache was never worth it; the hat and mask looked like they were thrown together in 15 minutes. I made a better mask out of sunglasses and craft foam and I didn’t even have any experience making props, granted it was much easier than I expected when I tried. The mask was made in February 2010 for a cosplay gathering at our mall. I’m just happy I decided to test them as I did before spending possibly $1000 for two full cosplays for Saiyaman I and II. |
