Life Ocean Limited Daniel Morton Sending bogus emails trying to scam out people Internet |
27th of Sep, 2011 by User392245 |
These guys indeed want my funds! "This home-based position involves assisting our existing customers in covering their requirements and consists of performing cash management and e-currency exchange operations. Sincerely, Daniel Morton, Human Resources Manager, Life Ocean Limited." This is clearly a SCAM! |

bogus emails??? what the hell are u talking about, man? I've been working for life ocean since march and seen no problems with it. i receive my salary every month quite on time (however, it can be delayed for about 3 days, though it's a banking system, nothing to do with it). but what's with the funds??? no one ever wanted to pull MY money out!! hate people writing stupid things on the internet as all the world is trying to scam their millions!!! |

Kevin.rich50:
I would appreciate any information you can provide about this company and Daniel Morton. So far contact with them has been very suspious. They don't contact you by phone they want personal information sent to a fax number etc.
Thanks! |

Yes, please share your experience Kevin.rich50! |

I also recently received an email from Daniel Morton regarding a position with Life Ocean Limited. I have been actively looking for full time work over the past 2 months and when I read his email it sounded like it was too good to be true and with all the scams out there I did not want to send any personal information on an application, etc.. until I felt confident it was a legitimate company and available position. I did not have much luck when I did some investigating online and found little to no information on this company. I believe they are a bit suspicious in the way they present this entire company and position with only a fax number to contact them I don't feel confident enough to take the next step and send my completed application to Daniel Morton. My gut is telling me at this point my gut is telling me to tell them I am not interested and thank you very much and then move on...I think I'll be happy I did as there is something fishy about this entire process and I would think that Life Ocean LImited and Daniel Morton would of done a much better job at making SURE that they come across as a real true business if they truly are legitimate but because I still have doubts...I am not going to pursure this "job opportunity" any longer.
TO: Kevin.rich, if you have any information on this company and/or the position that you are being paid for by Life Ocean, can you please post it as it would help a great deal. You seem to know more about this company than any information I've been able to find online so far and I would love for you to prove me wrong. Thank you. |

I faxed them my name, address, and both cell & land-line numbers. Shortly after, I received a call on my cell and was interviewed while driving home from shopping. All they asked me were basic interview questions;
Am I currently employed? Would I be willing to leave my current job and commit to them as a career opportunity? What are my greatest strengths and weaknesses? What software am I familiar with?
So far I see no reason to think this is a scam. I want this potential job to be legitimate and end up getting the position. Can someone please tell me if I'm getting set up to be disappointed?
I've already been sucked into interviews for bullsh** companies that want ME to pay them for training and end up selling insurance products on commission... |

|
Hmmmm...Why would Life Ocean Limited employee Kevin.rich50 be monitoing this site if the business was truly legitimate? Be careful! Too many crooks out there waiting fo "fish" desperate jobseekers... |

I received the same offer and have communicated back and forth with Mr. Morton. He did answer several of my questions. I also called the US office phone number and spoke with a gentleman who provided some information but not enough to convince me one way or another as to whether this is legitimate. He did return my call and the caller ID said Life Ocean Funds. I also would be interested in hearing more from Kevin.rich50. |

Update:
I called the company number listed on their website and talked to one of the names listed in the management section. It went to her cell phone and I explained that the way they seem to be doing business causes concern for those worried about scams. Her response was to try to assure me that they were not and they are not asking for any real personal information such as ssn# etc. She said we handle employment this way because we get a lot of applicants and this is the best way to handle it especially since the headquarters is located overseas. I then asked her if it would be possible to talk with someone who is currently doing the job. She said perhaps she could but I have not heard anything since that time.
(Sept 30th) so will give her a little more time and see what happens. I urge all of you hold off until one of us can confirm this as being for real! |

In a perfect world: she will call back, we will find this is legitimate, we will all become employees and meet in Cyprus for a corporate retreat. I won't pack my swimsuit yet. Thanks, Scoobyyeti. Maybe this is an omen, the code I need to type to submit this is deranged. |

My main concern is clicking on and downloading the back office system (Which I haven't done yet). The biggest red flag to me is that the email with the hyperlink to download it talks about filling out a direct deposit form to receive my pay. As I mentioned I haven't even opened the link, because I don't know what changes are going to be made to my desktop/work station if I proceed as the email suggests. Doesn't it sound a little strange for a company trying to hire you to want a direct deposit form filled out, which I'm sure will include a request for my account # info before I'm even hired or interviewed by someone in person? Was wondering if any of you have proceeded to this step, and have any feed back about it? |

Ok everyone...Here's the final nail in Life Ocean Limited's coffin for me (Hey did ya notice that if you turn the so called companies name into an acronym it's LOL?) Called the Better Business Bureau and entered their phone number into the automated system. Know what business came back associated with it? Some freaking "Coin Operated Laundromat" in Canada!!! This is definitely a scam. I'm deleting all emails between them and myself and moving on to real job offers!!!
I suggest you all do the same. |

i also was emailed through career builders looking for a job. and also they want everything faxed back. I asked two questions what location would I would be working, and also asked would i be interviewed in the office. As of yet no reply to me I truely believe this company is a scam. The forms that they ask to be download are just typed up on a regular computer forms do not look like they are from a ligitament company. Pay and benefits all sound good but not at the cost of it being a scam... |

wait up sandy cruz right, the location of the job is work at home ok, they interview me over the phone yes u need to send your info like basic not including your social security ok, and also they didnt ask for any up front money and they will ask you for direct deposit fill up form that u need to fill out ok, so the technique that im doing is i open a new account in my bank no money in it, yes your right looks like its not legit paper works but if we dont take a risk on getting through it we will not know if its scam or not. so what i did is i continue everything and end up they give me a backoffice website ok only hired people can access you can see it for yourself ok...
www.lfobackoffice.com
thats we're i log in from there i start my work so far so good nothing happen they said im goin to get paid in my training this coming october 21 thats friday so from there, ill let you guys posted ok...if im going to get a money paid from my work so that means its a legit right...
so check the website ok... |
