Legal & General
Legal & General Assurance Deducted 100% more than they originally quoted from an insurance claim on a buy out plan Surrey, Internet
9th of Jan, 2011 by User770783
I applied to raise money against an old works pension I had from the time when I worked for The Glasgow Herald & Evening Times. I was given a quote by Legal & General on 24/6/10 that 859.58 would be deducted from the funds to be transferred which they called the M.V. adjustment. Without even warning me three weeks later when the transfer of the funds took place they had deducted 1659.58 an incredible 100% increase on the original amount quoted. It is absolutely incredible that they are allowed to get away with this. I have asked them to provide an explanation as to why there was a 100% increase in the deduction between 24/6/10 & the 19/7/10 but they have failed to provide any explanation. During this three week period the share prices actually increased significantly. They ripped me Off for 800 and I want them to pay it back now.
