Legacy RV
Legacy RV Nolan Passick On the fast track to bankruptcy , Internet
23rd of Jun, 2011 by User122440
Quick Story: Legacy RV is owned by Nolan Passick
They make 15' and 18' travel trailers in Elkhart, Indiana.
Legacy RV hired me as a sales agent and also contracted me to build their website.
Shortly thereafter, Scott was forced out by Nolan for lies and alleged theft.
The company has no money and is not paying debts.
Since I was not paid, I removed the company website I built from the internet.
I hope you learn from my experience and avoid doing business with them. Full Story: I was interviewed the week of May 29 by the two partners of Legacy RV, Nolan Passick and Scott, for the position of salesperson. During the interview, I was asked what experience I had selling online, specifically website design and selling on ebay/craigslist. Based on these skills, and other past experience, I was hired on the spot to start June 6. My first task was to design the website (www.legacyrv.com), which I built and customized as requested during that first week. Friday, June 10, I called Nolan and asked when I would be paid. He stated my first paycheck would be Friday, June 17th. The following week, starting June 13, I began to work on listing their trailers on ebay per their request, while compiling a list of dealers to begin calling. I started to be concerned about the business when I learned that one of the owners, Scott, had been forced out of the business by the other partner, Nolan. Upon further conversation, I began to learn the truth about Legacy RV. The facts about the company's history, sales, and dealer network that had been shared with me during the interview and since were completely false. As the days past, I learned that the company was having critical cash flow issues, no established distribution, and because of past business history, a bad reputation. When it came time to pick up my first paycheck on June 17th, I was not paid. Since then, I have made numerous requests to be paid for my services. On Monday, June 20th I met with Nolan, and told him I would be removing the website I designed from the internet if I was not paid by the following day. I also told him I would no longer be representing the company in a sales role. On June 21st I deleted the website I designed when I was not paid. Since then, I have received several calls and text messages from Nolan asking me to put back up the website. I was willing to do it, but not without being paid first. I argued that he must have resources to pay me what I was owed to get the site back up. We are talking about less than $1000 here. It is evident that he was obviously choosing not to pay me. As they days passed the calls got more aggressive, with the last message saying he would not pay me if I did not upload the site back to the internet by noon June 23rd. I write this report not for myself, but for those of you who are considering doing business with Nolan Passick or Legacy RV in Elkhart Indiana. I don't think I will ever get payment for my services, but I hope you learn from my experience. If you are considering employment, supplying them with product, or buying their line of travel trailers, I would caution you against it.
