Blueline Trucking, Mrs. Dost runs this company now, since Mr. Dost step down.
Unfortunatly niether one has any skills in employee management, this second grade company has a high driver turn over, due to lack of social skills.
I worked for these people 06-2008 to 04-2009, as a last resort, because there are no local jobs in this area.
I ran 5 on and 34 hrs off every week hauling sugar to various destinatios, throughout the mid-west.
This kinde of job is unpredictable and time consumming dealing with appointments, lumpers and backhauls all live loads, and unloads, I had know problem with the job, but combining that with being a single parent, lookin after 3 kids and an aging parent I had my hands full, there was no time off.
Blueline knew this upfront, I pull no punches and can't lie about my situation, these people said no problem they could work with me.
As time went on there demands became more and more consuming, this mom and pop operation is all forced dispatch, takin any time off is unexceptable even if they don't sayso to your face, they talk shit behind your back.
Under constant threat of being terminated you took what was asigned to you even if you did'nt have the hours, do what you need to do, but make sure your logs are leagle at the end of the week.
This is normal for their operation, unlike like the rest of their drones,( you know who you are) I could'nt be available 24/7, I believe this pissed her off, also she did'nt like drivers who would question anything, this from a company that had less experiance than I did.
To the point of this report, I came in on a friday night in april of 2009 after a long week of bull sh* and break downs (of course blamed on me), I finaly got the office to repair the live drive axle on my unit 5203, I've been trying to get this repaired for months, of course they decided to tear it down when I needed to work, this layed me up for a week.
I called in monday and got no answer at this time, so I decided to call the shop to check on their progress on my unit, We don't have the parts yet it be a couple more days.
Ok, now usally Mrs. Dost has no problem calling me at least once aday if she has anything for me to do, or will offer me something local if there's any, this is what I got to expect out of her, because this is the way she operated, for some reason she decided to change this, why I have know idea?
I let ride thiking she would call to let me know when my truck was ready, she had'nt called for a couple of days, this was not unusual for them if they had no work, I called the shop back on wensday, we'll have it ready this evening, (cool) Still I heard nothing from the office I assumed they knew this, thursday I still hear nothing, so that evening I called, to find out
what my run was, Well Mrs. Dost said why did'nt you call me this week,??????
I told her I thought you'd call me when my truck was done, WELL! how'd you know if I had a truck open or not if you did'nt call? I said, you normaly call if theres somrthing to do,
WELL! she said it's not my job to call you, you call me, ok I said, I did,nt know I was suppost to if I'd known I would of, She chewed my ass for 15 minuts, then told me she'd gave my unit to another driver, because I did'nt call in.
Damm are you going to give it back? no, she said, well why not? (no explaination) So WTF are you going to fire me or are you going to work me?
Well she said' I'll try to put you in another truck,so you never did have atruck open or available this week at all,(huh) so I was right you had nothing for me this week, that don't matter I'm the boss, OK! ok boss are you gona work me or not? HERwords yes as soon as I get a truck open, DOyou want me to call back? I SAID, no I'll call you.
Guess what, she never called me back, WOW! like did'nt expect that,A week went by thats when I decided to file for unemploment, it did'nt take UIA a week to decide in my favor.
I believe that pissed her off, this lady is very spitefull and vandictive even on petty maters.
Meanwhile I started to look for another job, for some reason I've been having a difficult time landing employement, come to find out MRS.Dost has been telling possible employers that she had terminated me because I was inadequit in my job performance, this was a bold face lie, I e-mailed her asking her to stop this crap, I know I was alittle insulting
but there was no call for her to go this far, I received a call from AD.Transport telling me Dost would not return employment verification forms sent, I told them to call them directly AD.Transport called me back and said they got hold of the office Dost would'nt talk to them so they were forced to relay information through stacy in payroll, screaming across the
the office I fired that basturd did'nt I, I guess she thought she would'nt be heard.
That cost me a position with this other company, then to top it off she wrote me a letter telling me she did'nt appreciate my e-mail and that she would be telling any employers lookin for past record of employment how I wrecked her truck because I was following to close, Well I obviously she's a moron, I already give that information out willingly
as fact I was found not at fault,was not cited, no deaths or injuries, nor was I pulled from the scean by any wreaker.
As the matter of fact I have the e-mail I sent, and the letter I recieve, and if any one would like a copy of my MVR I have that too.
I WOULD NOT RECOMEND MY DOG TO PEE ON THIER PROPERTY LET ALONE WORK FOR THESE SOCIALLY INEPT MORONS, IT'S NO WONDER THEY CAN'T KEEP HELP, THEY SHOW NO GRADITUTE FOR ANYBODY BUT THEM SELVES. |
