I am just now getting around to posting this complaint on here. This was a complaint typed up on May 8, 2011 and May 10, 2011. You will be provided with a photo below putting a face to the mechanic who is being complained about in this report. That way you know who exactly to stay away from and for businesses who he used to do this can easily pinpoint him out in their staff (and take action) if his name is not enough to identify him. This report gives you a name AND a face of the specific male mechanic I dealt with in person regarding the repair of my o2 sensor and catalytic converter only. Again this was typed up during May 8-10 of this year (2011). Exact Photo of the Keith Washington Complained About in this Report: Someone I know found the Facebook profile of KEITH WASHINGTON so that you have a better description of what he looks like. Don't be fooled by his Christian interests. My complaint isn't a religious complaint against him. My complaint is in regards to the way he does business and that is what you should be aware of. The KEITH WASHINGTON that I am referring to in my business complaint and the one I have told the police about is the KEITH WASHINGTON of this Facebook profile: http://www.facebook.com/people/Keith-Washington/100000532205426 You will need to click on the 'Wall' link (or any of the links before the 'friends' section on that page) to see his photo without needing to log into Facebook to see it. On his public page he has removed his photo. But again click on the 'Wall' link and you will see him. Now that you know what he looks like, allow me to continue. Companies He Associates With Regarding this Bad Ordeal Keith Washington: He said he has his own shop, however, I forgot the name of it and on the receipt he gave me it didn't list a name (strange). He may be doing business under his own name. RPS Transmission: He came to pick up my car with his son (who is a smoker and has at least one gold tooth) in a truck that was branded with the company name 'RPS Tranmission'. Obviously, that company is one he works for. Basically, he was doing business for his own shop on their dime. They may approve of it. I don't know and don't care. But if they touched my vehicle while in his possession, then they are equally liable for the damages done since it was their vehicle he drove to pick my vehicle up. Firestone: He left my vehicle, however, at the Firestone location at 3609 W William Cannon Dr in Austin, TX 78749. Their phone number is: (512) 899-0550, the manager or regular employee named Chris claimed to have never seen my car before. I know this is all complicated and messy all because of one person: Keith Washington. I was doing business with Keith and not Firestone or RPS Transmission. So I don't know why Keith Washington even involved them. As you read the details of this really bad ordeal, you will see that though Keith left my vehicle at Firestone the day I said I'd be picking it up, when I got there the vehicle was completely on Walgreen's property. I have a video of it. At that point we saw an employee (he said his name was Chris) leaving Firestone and questioned him about it and he was the one to say he never saw my car before. Strange isn't it? Keith Washington is someone to truly not associate with. If you do, then you can't say you weren't warned. Details of My Complaint Against Keith Washington There is a short, fat, black male named Keith Washington that either works here or has some arrangement with them to use this location as his shop. In person he's very dark skinned (approx 5'5" tall give or take) and looks over 40 yrs old. Might also see him at Agape Christian Ministries. He was to work on my cat. conv. and o2 sensor. Before Keith came to get my car, my motor was in great shape, no problem with it according to two pro mechanics at well established auto shops. By the time I got my vehicle back, my engine was messed up. As a matter of fact, Keith called me to let me know he damaged my engine BEFORE he even made it to his shop. He claimed there was no oil in my car. I have paperwork to prove I had an oil change days before he came to get it. I won't go all in to details here. But beware: Keith Washington damaged my car. What makes you think he won't damage yours? Just recently I was told about other people's cars he damaged. Wish I had known before I let him work on my car. If I knew beforehand that his so-called 15+ years experience was in fact of no value, then I would have taken my car elsewhere. Keith Washington not only damaged my motor, but I later found out after I had my car towed that the timing belt was bad and my transmission no longer shifts in any gear at all AND it produces a rather loud noise when attempting to accelerate. Details he didn't tell me himself. The value of my car now after he damaged it is next to none. He (and this store if they had any part in the deposit I gave him) still owes me part of my deposit and costs of damages. I'm having it handled the right way to get compensated. Would you take this risk in letting Keith Washington work on your car? His 15+ years experience that he was telling me he had, isn't worth a goddamn thing. If it were, then my car wouldn't be in a worse condition than it was before he got it. I told him not to work on my car after that. Would you want someone attempting to fix something on your car if they just admitted to damaging your motor? I don't know if this location has hired Keith or have a business arrangement because instead of me picking up my car from Keith's shop, he parked it at Firestone and someone at Firestone moved my car to Walgreen's; all without my permission and awareness until I got there. Keith told me it was parked at Firestone. So either Keith is lying and making Firestone look bad and responsible or Keith is telling the truth and Firestone moved my car to Walgreen's property. Either way until proven otherwise, Keith and this Firestone location are responsible for the damages done to my car. Should you give Keith Washington a key to your vehicle? Allow me to share something else: since I've had my vehicle back in my possession, Keith Washington has unlawfully entered my vehicle without my permission using my key he hadn't returned to me and without my awareness until after he did it. He has admitted via SMS messaging to entering my car without my permission just yesterday. I still have the message. I have no clue what other things he has done to my vehicle since it's been in my possession. Would you trust him? I don't know who Keith thinks he is, but since he involved this Firestone, then they too will be held responsible as well. I do know he used to work at the Firestone in that shopping center where Fry's Electronics is located. He told me he used to work there years ago. I don't know if he got fired or if he quit. But considering what damages he did to my car and causing my car to no longer be of much of any value being in a worse condition than before he came to get it, it wouldn't surprise me if that Parmer Lane Firestone location fired him for bad work. Now he's at this Firestone location and he has involved them in his illegal acts. They can continue to do business with him if they want to, but they will be responsible for things he does on their grounds because I gave him no permission to take my car to any shop other than his own that he was telling me about and that I knew he had from some years ago in Kyle, TX I believe is the city. I had given Firestone NO permission to touch my car. Don't know why he parked it there to begin with. I have witnesses. I've warned my family members, friends, employer, my banker and informed them to spread the word about him. Now I'm informing YOU. He used to be trustworthy years ago. People change. Some for the worst and others for the better. I don't know the reason why Keith Washington has changed for the worst. All I know is what he admitted to me about damaging my motor, tried to blame Walmart and then tried to get me to pay $1200 ($600 motor and $600 labor) to get it fixed. Wtf! You damage it, then you pay to fix it. Why should I have to pay for it when it wasn't damaged when I had it? So much more to this craziness. Want to see and hear the damages? Contact me to see it in person. Then make a decision: Will you risk letting Keith Washington work on your car?
